Phase 1

Mayonaka's POV: 'This is the start of the exam' I thought as we followed the purple head (Satotz). He introduced himself and started picking up the pace. We started running to catch up. I felt someone staring at me again and I turned my head to see who it was. Pin head again. I stared back at him. It was really getting awkward so I ran up to him. "Hey" I greeted. He stared at me shocked for a second. "Hi" He greeted back. I wasn't the type of person to start conversations. It was a really awkward moment of silence between us. "Hm aren't you scared of me?" he asked. I was slightly confused of that "No" I answered. He hummed again. "My name is Gittarackur." He introduced. I hesitated thinking up a random name. "Mai, my name is Mai." I lied. He nodded. "Hey Grittarackur, what are you doing?" I heard a familiar voice. 'Oh that Joker.' "Running" Gittarackur stated. "Hmm..... and who is this?" Joker asked staring at me. "Her name is Mai." "Oh why hello there Mai" I hesitated for a second then greeted him with a "Hey" "Mm" Joker licked his lips then said "My name is Hisoka." "What do you want Hisoka?" Grittarackur asked in a slightly annoyed voice. "Oh nothing I was just checking on you," said Hisoka in a cheerful voice. I rolled my eyes. "and why is my friend bothering ladies? You should be ashamed of yourself." Hisoka said in a dramatic tone. "I wasn't bothering her!" Grittarackur stated in an annoyed tone. "Yeah we were just talking." I said annoyed but kept my annoyance hidden. "Oh so now my friend has a girlfriend! I never thought he could attract someone with that look. You should wear that disguise more often!" I face palmed. "She isn't my girlfriend!" Now Grittarackur was really annoyed. "Oh don't worry Grittarackur, you will find some one to love you one day." Then patted his shoulder and sighed. Grittarackur had finally had enough and punched Hisoka in the face. "Aw that wasn't nice." Hisoka stated with a chuckle "Nor is saying stuff that aren't true." I growled. Hisoka smiled.

Haku's POV: I used my skate board to ride rather than run. I wasn't lazy but I need to save my energy. I skated near a kid with a skateboard like me and stared at him. He stared back. He had white hair and his skin tone was like mine. We kept staring at each other (No its NOT HakuxKillua thank you very much) Until we were interrupted by yelling. "Hey you two, stop cheating!" A man in a business suit shouted. "How?'' me and the white hair boy asked and the same time. "You aren't supposed to use skateboards, this is a endurance test!" He shouted. "No they aren't cheating, and this isn't an endurance test." A kid in green stated. The kid with white hair skated to him and I followed. "How old are you?" He asked the kid. "12" "And you" the kid in white asked me. "13" He was slightly surprised. I jumped off my board doing a little trick. It seemed me and the boy with white hair did things at the same time, because he did the same trick at the same time I did. "Wow!" exclaimed the kid in green. "What are your names?" "Gon" "Killua" I smiled. "My name is Haku." I replied. We began talking, but I was just thinking. 'Could I possibly be friends with them and get away from... my sister?' "Hey Haku are you ok?" Gon asked. "Yeah" I looked up and saw a long flight of stairs. "Hey why don't we have a race," Gon suggested. "Who ever wins, the losers have to buy them dinner." I smiled. "Ok!" me and Killua shouted at the same time. We began running, but I noticed that Killua's footsteps were light like mine. I ran to Killua's side. "Hey Killua are you an assassin?'' I asked. Killua looked surprised. "How did you know?" "Your footsteps are light just like mine." I answered. "I am an assassin too." Killua's eyes widened. "Really?" Killua asked. "Yeah I ran away from home cause I was bored." I said dodging a body on the ground. Killua smiled. "Yeah me too." He said. We kept running till all three of us made it up the stairs at the same time. Killua and Gon began arguing on who made it first. I decided to buy them dinner since I was an age older. "Guys I am gonna buy you two dinner, okay?" Killua and Gon stared at me for a sec but then smiled. "Thanks Haku!" They both thanked and I smiled. The other people came up after us, panting. I hung out with Gon and Killua.

Mayonaka's POV: I looked around, it was quite foggy but I could still see the tree tops. The door closed, leaving a screaming participant. I sighed lightly. The examiner explained about staying close to him and not being fooled. "Don't be fooled!" Screamed some guy coming out of no where. He began talking trash about how the examiner was a "man faced ape" I could tell he was lying and took out a gun. I put my hood up so my brother wouldn't recognize me. Then I shot him without a glance. "Liar, liar, pants on fire." I mocked and with my nen, set his body on fire without going up to him. The monkey tried running away but I shot him too. Smirking, I put my gun back in my pocket. We kept running and Grittarackur and me were talking. Suddenly I stopped, grabbing Grittarackur's hand. "Whats wrong?" he asked but I only replied with a "Wait." Suddenly a creature jumped up eating the other participants who were unlucky. Grittarackur's eyes widened. "Thanks." He muttered. "No problem." I said. Then I realized I was still holding his hand and let go of it. I used my strengthened sense of hearing and heard the examiner's familiar footsteps. "Come on." I said and pointed at the way. He nodded and followed. Soon we were at the second phase exam site. "Hey Mia, are you an assassin?" Grittarackur asked. "Yeah how did you know?" I asked. "Your footsteps, when we were running they were quite, and in the mud they weren't visible." "Like yours?" I asked, smirking. "Ah yeah." he said scratching the back of his neck. Other people starting coming in and Grittarackur wanted to call Hisoka. I jumped up into the tree he was leaning on and watched people coming.
