Haku's POV: "Well lady and gentlemen. Did you get plenty of rest?" Asked the old man. Killua and me shared glances. Not much rest to call plenty. "This hotel is owned by the Hunter Exam selection Committee. The place is all yours until the battles have concluded." That's nice. "For the Final Phase we will be holding a one on one tournament." "So the last standing person passes?" asked someone. "The last person will fail." I breathed. How did I not ever think of that before? "Quite right little boy." confirmed the old man. "So you're saying that only one person will fail." said Hanzo. "Exactly" The old man confirmed again. "And here is the bracket." The old man lifted the cloth and I was right away confused. "Sir, why am I fighting you, and why is someone else fighting Satotz? You're both hunters already." I asked pointing at me and Mayonaka. "Impressive, right?" "Uh.... yeah." I said confused. "After all everyone has two chances to win." said the old man. "But some people like 294 and 405 get to have 5 chances." pointed out Pokkle. "Why didn't you use a balanced bracket?" asked Bodoro. "A question that must be one everyone's mind." said the old man. "This bracket was assembled based on your performances throughout the entire exam." said the old man "Those who preformed better received more chances." "That doesn't sound right." said Killua and I nodded in agreement. "Can you explain how you scored our performances?" Killua asked. "NO!" wailed the old man shaking his head. "Why not?" Killua and me asked. The old man chuckled. "Your scores are classified" said the old man. "You could have just said that." I grumbled. "But I can explain our methods." I sighed listening to everything he was saying. I didn't get screamed in the face for nothing. "First, we consider three major criteria: physical strength, mental strength, and overall impression. For physical strength, we use an aggregate of agility, flexibility, endurance. and perception," What is this, gymnastics? "For mental strength, we use an aggregate of resilience, adaptability, judgment, and creativity. However this information is only used as a reference point. After all, you were strong enough to advance to the Final Phase. However, we are most concerned with your overall impression. This refers to any intangible factors not previously mentioned." He chuckled again and I wondered if this man was high. "You could consider this as an evaluation of your potential as a Hunter. And we also incorporate the opinions of your peers. That was our process." 'Based on performance I should be ranked higher...' I shrugged it off and glanced at Killua. He was thinking hard. "Killua, are you okay?" I asked. "I'm fine." I nodded. "Weapons are allowed, No cheating, If your opponent admits defeat, you win. HOWEVER! If you kill your opponent, you will be immediately disqualified. All remaining applicants will pass, and the Exam will end. Are we clear?" I nodded. "Then we shall begin the exam's final phase."

Haku's POV: "The first match is Netero versus Haku. Please step forward." I stepped forward. "I will serve as the referee. My name is Masta. Best of luck. Now then its time to begin." I got into battle position. But I was really just getting prepared to jump. "Begin!" Shouted the referee. I ran towards Netero then jumped. He caught me by the ankle and threw me across the room. I fell hard on the ground but quickly got up. I ran toward him again, made it look like I was about to repeat my mistake then tornado kicked him away. He fell but got up again. I jumped up and he caught my ankle. But I had different plans. I caught him by the neck and grew my nen fangs, then bite into his head hard. My pain venom surged through his body and he began shouting and screaming. He let go of me and held his head. I sent my healing mist at him and it seem the pain rubbed off him. He was panting a little then shouted "I give up." "Yes." I hissed. I went back next to Killua and he held out his hand to high five me and we high fived. "How'd you do that?" He asked. I shrugged. "Good luck I suppose," I said, winking at him.
