~Chapter 18~

You sat in the living room when Suzy came through the front door, throwing a file onto the table in front of you. "Done. Me and you are staying behind. Barry and Arin are going home." She said, sitting beside you on the couch.
You flipped through the file and realized it was the report for child abuse. "Now, tell me the full story please. I knew you were avoiding one thing while you were telling me what was wrong." She said and you sighed. "Follow me. It'll feel better to tell you somewhere else." You said, getting up and walking down into the dreadful basement. She followed, worry clearly filled her eyes.
You opened the door and showed her your mom's torture chamber. The stone walls, table, furnace, and the lone wooden chair.
"Oh my god..." Suzy walked around the room. "Is this where..?"
You nodded, "Sit down, this story is pretty long. After all, it covers 18 years of my life."

After you told her your full past, she was in tears. You were hugging her to comfort her as she cried. "Shhh its alright Suze.... Shhh...." You said in a soothing tone. "B-But how could she do that!? He was only 3!"
"I know, Suze..... I know...."
You both sat there for a little longer till she was ready to go back upstairs. You took her into her room and locked the door. While walking upstairs, you grabbed the file.
Sitting her down on her bed, you grabbed her make up and fixed her up. "Feeling better?" You asked her and she nodded. "Yeah."
"Good! Now come on, we have to go walk the boys to the airport." You smiled, taking her hands. "Right." She said, following you out the door where Arin and Barry waited.
"Hey you two! Ready to go?" Barry asked. "Sorry Bear, Suzy and I are staying behind a few more days to make sure everything is settled down." You apologized. "What?" Arin asked, confused.
"Listen, babe, it won't be long. We just need to stay just a little longer. We'll Skype you both every night. Promise." Suzy said. "Fine... But keep us updated, okay?" Barry asked.
"We'll keep you two updated. Now come on you two, Danny and Ross need you both." You said, walking downstairs.

After hugging Barry and Arin bye, you and Suzy watched them board their plane. "Okay, when do we need to be in court?" You asked Suzy. "The day after tomorrow. I'll keep you safe until then from your mom, don't worry." Suzy smiled and you returned it.
"Right. And I'll protect you as well!"
