Editing Buddies

~Chapter 13~

.:Next Week because of plot purposes:.
You woke up, feeling a lot better than last week. But your voice was still hoarse.
You tried getting up, but a set of arms kept you down. Déjà vu?
"Barry... I have to pack.." You said, struggling to get out of his grasp, but he only tightened his hold. "No."
"Bear..... Please?" You asked, still trying to crawl out of his grasp. "No."
You pouted and turned around to face him. "Pretty please? For me?" You asked. "No." He tightened his grip a little more.
"Barry Kramer as your princess I demand you let me free!" You playfully ordered. He began laughing as he let go. "Okay! Go pack, I'll just.... Go do something... I need to run by my place real quick. See you!" Barry said, grabbing his keys and running out of your house.
"That was weird..." You said, walking over to your closet. Taking down your suitcase, you looked at the signatures on it. The whole editing team your parents run signed it, wishing you good luck on your new life.
Sighing, you sat on the bed and looked at a picture inside the suitcase. It was a picture of you and your parents, standing outside of your rich Hollywood house. Your parents were famous editors AND actors, which made you want to move away even faster than usual. "I really don't want to go home..." You mumbled, putting the picture back up and stood up. Grabbing some shirts and skirts(knowing your mom), you also took some shorts. Grabbing tons of socks and your converse, you placed it all on the bed.
After grabbing everything else you'd need, you put them into the suitcase and closed it. "Okay... Flight is at 3. I have a lot of time left..." You said, throwing yourself back onto the bed. You heard your door open and Barry came back inside. "Guess what (Y/N)? I didn't know how to say it earlier, but Arin, Suzy, and I are coming with you!" He announced and you jumped off the bed. "Really!? On my gosh that's such a relief for me!!!" You said hugging him. "Now, I won't have to worry about my parents having that awkward talk alone!!"
He chuckled and returned the hug. "Anyway, your flight may be at 3, but what if we leave earlier and you give us a tour of where you grew up?" He asked you. "You know what, that may be better." You said, running back into your room for your suitcase.
"Okay then. Ready to go?" Barry asked, opening the front door. "Yeah!"
When you both arrived at the airport, you got out of Barry's car and saw Arin get out of his with Suzy. You ran over to them and the four of you went to board your plane.

You woke Barry up when the plane started to land. "Bear, wake up, we're here." You said and he slowly opened his eyes. "Really..?"
Yeah, come on." You said poking his face and he smiled.
"So adorable..." Arin said from behind you two and you looked at him. "Says the one who literally took a picture of all of us while we slept. Oh yeah! We got payback as well for that." You said, waving you phone in front of Arin. It was a picture of him making a stupid face in his sleep.
"What? No!" He said trying to grab your phone. But Suzy stopped him, "Calm down. Besides, you started it."

When you four exited the plane, you stopped right where you stood. "Those sneaky..." You whispered.
Waiting for you by the luggage area, where your parents.
"What's wrong, (Y/N)?" Suzy asked as you pointed at your parents. "They're here already, and my original flight hasn't even flown yet." You said. "Do they always come early?" Arin asked. "Well, when I did modeling, they were always super early to pick me up." You said, trying to remember other moments. "Damn.... They are sneaky like you. Oh, so that's where you got your sneakiness!" Barry said and you began to giggle. "Yeah, I guess they were always super early.." You said, getting on the escalator.
You led them to the luggage are and met up with your parents. "Mom! Dad! Its been a while!" You greeted them. "(Y/N)! Hey there! Who are these people?" Your dad asked as your mom got all of the luggage. "Oh, Meet my friends Arin and Suzy! Plus my boyfriend Barry!" You said, introducing them. "Boyfriend huh?" You mom said, looking at Barry.
Arin walked over to your mom and helped her with the luggage. "Anyways, I'm (M/N) (L/N). Its nice to meet you three." She said, elbowing your dad. "Ah! I'm (D/N) (L/N)! Nice meeting you guys." Your dad said, rubbing where your mom elbowed him. "Hi! I'm Suzy, and that is my husband Arin. Its nice meeting you as well." Suzy said and Barry hugged you from behind. "I'm Barry, nice meeting you." He said as you smiled up at him.
"(Y/N) works as an editor for me and my group Game Grumps. She also edits Suzy's gaming channel Kitty Kat Gaming." Arin told them as everyone got their luggage and began to walk. "Really? Following in her parents footsteps eh?" Your dad said and you rolled your eyes. "You two edit movies, I edit random stuff."
"Well, (Y/N), one question, why is your voice so hoarse?" Your mom asked, not sounding concerned. "I was recently very sick." You told them. "Didn't you hear that over the phone?"
"No deary!" Your mom said, clearly acting surprised. "I was in the hospital when you called as well... Well, anyway, how have you two been?" You asked them, your voice semi cracking.
"Great! We got more deals to edit and or act on in movies, the usual." Your dad said.
"Sounds fun! Hey, can you take our luggage home? I wanna show my friends around Hollywood." You asked. "Well... Alright. Be home by 6." Your mom said as tour dad took the luggage. "Thanks!" You said. Grabbing Arin, Suzy, and Barry, you ran over to a secluded area.
"What's up, (Y/N)?" Arin asked. "Couldn't you tell? They were acting the whole time." You said, leaning on Barry out of breath. "Acting?" Barry asked. "They act all nice and happy when my friends are around, but if it was just me, they'd have colder tones." You said, crossing your arms. "Why else do you think I'd want to leave my Hollywood family?" You asked. "True, but why would they be so cold to their daughter?" Suzy asked. "They want me to become them. When I quit modeling, mom got all frantic and mad. Editing was more my thing, but not their kind of editing." You told them. "Yikes." Arin said, looking back at where your parents were.
"Well, you're with us now. So no need to worry anymore!" Barry said and you smiled at him.

Maybe confronting your parents wouldn't be so bad with these guys to help.
