(NOT PROOF READ)

"Thanks, Derek." I mumble getting out of the car, waving him off before wlaking to my house. "IM HOME!" I scream

"Sky?" my mom's head pops out from the kitchen. Her hair is neatly tucked into an elegant bun and she is wearing a bit of make up. She never wears make up. "I-I wasn't expecting you for a few more days." Is she... nervous?

"Long story." I say hearing my stomach growl "We can talk about it over dinner." I begin walking towards the kitchen

"No Sky." she whispers closing the kitchen door behind her. "I've got someone over!" she whisper shouts.

"Oh, uh like a co worker dinner or..." I begin although I already know the answer. Ever since my parents divorced I've always had that secret hope they'd get back together again. My dad is a great man and my mom is an amazing woman, they just had some misunderstandings sometimes. The divorce was hard. They couldn't bare to be near eachother in the same house hold so my dad bought a little apartment in the city, which he'd leave at night and come back with bimbos.

"No." she sighs "A date." my mouth forms an 'O' shape before nodding slowly.

"I'm gonna... go upstairs..." I speak silently going up the stairs. Wow, my mom has started dating again. Honestly, my parent's divorce affected all of us. My dad has become a player, my mom has started dying her hair blonde and cries every night before sleeping, usually she's in a cranky mood. And me, well i just become sad when I see how different they are now. My mom had me when she was 16 and married my dad when she graduated highschool. Now I'm 17 and my mom is 33. Yup, that's right. Most people my age have parentns who are old and near their 50's but no. My mom doesn't have wrinkles, doesn't have flab, and she is still young enough to get hooked up at a club. They were happy once, incredibly happy. I remember watching them love each other with all their hearts, promising they'd love each other forever. But I guess love doesn't last forever. No matter how strong it is, it eventually dies.
