I'm sooo sorry I haven't been updating! My spacebar broke on my laptop so you know, I couldn't really write stuff...
"Sky, don't forget to pack! We're checking out at 3pm" My mom says poking her head into my hotel room. My magazine flies out of my hands and I place a hand on my chest. She scared the crap out of me!
"Jesus, Mom!" I yell in annoyance "Number one you need to learn how to knowck and two how the hell did you get a key card to my room?"
"To answer your first question, I'm me. I simply do not knock" she smiles evilly "And secondly, did you really think I was going to let you have you own room without making sure I can get in it too?"
"Just go!" I grumble throwing a pillow at the door. My mom is so annoying sometimes. She leaves and closes the door after her. I check the time on my phone and it's 9:30 am. Great. I only have 5 and a half hours left in this paradise. I pull out my suitcase and start throwing clothes in. Wow, time has flied. I haven't seen Derek or Blake that much ever since I flipped out at him over the shark attack. Of course there are the occasional hello's at the food hall and such, but I haven't spent that much time with them
Once I'm done packing -- very sloppily if I might add -- I change into a tankini. That's right, a tankini. I can feel you judging me but you know what? I don't have the boobs or butt for a bikini, and I am done wearing the ones Gabi got me. Besides, it's a pretty okay-ish tankini. It is colorful and has a floral pattern with two blue starps that criss cross across my back. I feel like any girl could rock this swim suit except from me. Surprise? I think not
I throw a dress on over my head and then go down to the beach. No sign of Blake or Derek... yet. I find a space that isn't taken yet. I sit on the beach chair and realize I forgot my sunglasses. Shit. To late now. I look at the sand in between my toes and smell the air that smells like ocean. You don't get this back in Connecticut. We have beach too, but the sand isn't white, it's just plain dirty. The water isn't clear, it's murky. The only thing I won't miss is that there aren't any sharks in Connecticut... I think.
"Excuse me?" Someone says. I look up and see the ginger girl who I beat at volleyball.
"Um, hi." I say awkwardly. I feel embarassed because she probably hates me like her friends
"I'm Ana." she says "I played volleyball with you a couple of days ago?" she says it more like a question
"Yeah I remember." I say giving her a weak smile
"I just wanted to know if this seat is taken?" she points at the empty seat next to me. I was originly planning on saving it for my mom but now that I think of it, it won't look so cool to be hanging out at the beach with my mom
"No, feel free to sit there." I say befor laying back down
"Those two guys with you, they weren't actuallly gay were they?" I sigh as I realize the conversation isn't over
"No, I was just ruining their chances with you and your friends." I blush after I say that because I said it in such a bitchy tone, it sounds like I'm jealous. Okay I am jealous because they are frickin gorgeous! I'm sure they know it too. "Sorry."
"It's fine." she says brushing it off as if it's nothing. She's probably used to everyone being jealous of her "Do you live in Connecticut too?" She asks hesitantly. I shoot up backing away slightly looking at her as if she were a witch. WHAT DOES THIS BITCH MEAN IF I ALSO live in Connecticut?
"HOW THE HELL--" is start but she interrupts.
"I recognized Blake." She states. "That's why I had Courtney come up with me to ask him if he wanted to play volleyball. I wanted to make sure that was him" AHA! So the blonde bimbo from volleyball has a name... And it's Courtney.
"HOLD UP!" I say. She is going waaaaaay too fast for me and I can't keep up "how do you know Blake?"
"My sister dated him once." She says blankly "well they weren't really dating, he was just trying to get in her pants." WHAAAAT
"Slow down!" I say in annoyance "please, just slow down." I beg. This girl talks in rapid speed. I don't know how she says everything in one breath.
"You see my sister Jessie kissed Blake on 2010's New Years." My body stiffens "he hung out with her and she thought they were friends for a while until she gave into his flirting. As soon as he slept with her he never called her back and she hasn't heard from him since." I am speechless. What the actual fuck. "I'm only telling you this because if you're his girlfriend..." She trails off making it clear that it's my cue to tell her my relationship with Blake.
"No way, Blake and I are just friends." I say making a terrible attempt to laugh. It sounded so fake you could even hear me gulping
"Jessie said the same too." Ana smiles sheepishly "just me careful, alright?" And then she left.
holy mother of cheese... What the hell was that?
But most importantly, what for lunch because I'm starving
