RECAP:

I walk to my car -- well, my mom's van -- checking my phone only to see texts from anonomous numbers calling me a bitch and a fucking retard until I notice a tall muscular figure leaning on the van. He good make a rusty old van that looked like it belonged to a kidnapping pedophile, look hot.

"What are you doing here?" I ask

"Surprise" he says sheepishly raising his arms up in the air, faking enthusiasm.

"What are you doing here?" I hiss at him. How did he even know where I went to school? Oh right, this was his highschool before...

"Hey, Sky." Gabi runs towards me with a green note book in her hand "I accidently took your science book. Who's you're friend?" She smirks over at Derek and wiggles her eyebrows "Is he the one that slept with Angie?" she whispers to me. Turns out she is an incredibly loud whisperer and I swear that even people in Philidelphia could hear what she just "whispered" to me.

"No." he chuckles humourlessly "That would be my jackass friend, Blake."

"Oh, alright." she says politely "Jake is waiting for me I got to go. text me when you get home, okay?" her look said text-me-all-the-deets-and-don't-leave-a-single-one-out. I sighed and rolled my eyes nodding my head

"So why are you here, Derek?" I say crossing my arms giving a disapproving look.

"Jeez, you look like a mother who's just caught her kid sneaking back into  the house at 3am" he jokes but my face is serious. First Blake stalks me -- which actually ended up saving my flat ass -- and now Derek shows up at my school in front of my van. "Alright, I just wanted to visit the school, to see how it is now. And maybe I heard that you were in the hospital and I wanted to see if you were okay..." He scratches the back of his neck nervously. I've notice him doing that a lot and honestly I find it pretty cute. That doesn't mean I like him though. I know I still have small feelings for Blake even though I know he's a jerk but they don't matter too much. I mean, I wasn't crushed or started crying when I saw him making out with that whore, or dancing with that other whore. If my life were a sappy cliché, I would've run somewhere into a deep part of the frat house and found my self in an abandoned hall and then suddenly some guy would try to rape me but then someone saves me. Like seriously, whenever the main character goes to the bathroom or gets lost inside the house at a party they get raped, or almost raped. It's like the author is trying to send out a message to not go to parties or something.

"I'm fine, seriously I--" I start

"I heard why you were in the hospital too." Wow, everyone seems to be interupting me today "If I had walked you to the door that guy would've never pointed a gun at you. It's all my fault." I step up to him and touch his arm before I could think about it first. His eyes dart to were my finger tips make contact with his sweater but he doesn't move. He just stares at my hand (that actually looks pretty dry and gross thanks to the winter weather) and then looks up into my poopy-eyes.

"Derek." I say in a soothing therapist-y voice "It's not your fault that some creepy guy decided it would be fun to mug or rape or whatever the hell he was going to do to a random ugly-ass girl that happened to be me." The expression in his eyes look guilty. He can't really feel bad about something that he didn't even do, Can he?

"You're not ugly." he says it so quietly I can barely hear him, but I still can. I get instant chills as he says that and I'm pretty sure that it isn't just because of the cold.

"Whatever" I say rolling my eyes feeling my face heat up "The point is that I'm fine. Blake came out of no where and ninja kicked that pedophile's--"
