average school day?

westons pov.
erin kalynn and i walked to school together the next day, like usual.
Erin is basically the most popular out of the three of us but she won't admit it, and for whatever reason she turns down the guy every girl would die for, his name is Brett Holmes. Brett and i are pretty good friends too.

we all went to our classes and the day went by as usual. i always see erin in the halls after before lunch but this time i saw her with 2 girls, but they were bothering her and she looked pretty stressed out by a couple girls who are probably just jealous of her.

"um erin i hope you're not going to homecoming with brett." one girl said
"i wasn't planning on it" erin while opening her locker
the other girl slammed it closed while she looked at erin and said "then who are you going with?"
"that's not important" erin said.
but before anybody could say anything else i stepped in and said "erin it's pretty important" i winked
"weston not now" she said

"hey weston" the first girl smiled
"uh hey" i said stepping closer to erin
"who are you taking to the dance" she smiled
"erin." i said without hesitation
the girls froze in shock.
erin blushed while backing away.

then they just rolled their eyes and walked away.

"weston thanks, but it's okay. i wasn't planning on going" erin said
"uhmm well you're the only person i'd wanna go with" i said walking closer to her.
"no really it's okay. i'll stay home" she said facing me
"erin you can't miss homecoming!" i said and slowly held both her hands.
"please" i smiled
we were alone in the hallway.
"maybe" she smiled
the feeling of relief flowed through my body, on the inside i was freaking out but on the outside i was just smiling. Her maybes are always yes's, ive known her my whole life.

erin's pov:
weston and i were alone in the hallway and i lowkey wish it could have stayed that way. but at the same time i really don't wanna fall for my best friends twin brother. especially since i'm always at their house, i wouldn't know what to tell kalynn and i don't plan on hiding anything from her. so i've been trying to avoid catching feelings.
but when the tips of westons fingers touched mine my heart instantly started racing.

weston slowly started to lean in and so did i, but right before our lips could meet i backed away.
"what's wrong?" he said biting his bottom lip
"sorry weston i- i can't- uh not here" i said
he nodded.

then we went to have lunch.
i was sitting with my friend at lunch and weston was with brett and a guy named zach.
i saw them goofing off and soon i felt something hit my shoulder.
it was a slice of pizza...
"weston what the heck?!" i said standing up wiping my shirt from the sauce.

i knew it was too good to be true. weston was back to picking on me...
his friends were trying not to laugh and then i hear them saying "you're gonna apologize? might as well kiss her while you're at it" they were probably joking because they know he'd never apologize in front if other people.

"maybe i will!" he said leaving his friends.
and he sat next to me, put his hands on my shoulders and kissed the corner of my mouth for about 3 seconds making it look like he full on kissed me.
his friends whistled with wide eyes as my friend just stood there. "sorry erin.. i'll explain later" he said.
then it was time for next period.
