Alex's POV
Mirror on the wall, here we are again.
Through my rise and fall, you've been my only friend.
You told me that they can,
understand the man I am.
So why are we here, talkin' to eachother again?
"Alex?" My mother asked.
"Yeah?"
"Get me an asprin and then go to school."
"Oh."
I handed her the asprin, and sprinted out the door, only turning my ipod up louder.
Riding the bus was always hell. I always sat alone, and people always stared. Someone always asked me why I sat alone, or someone always tried to sit with me. Of course, that someone today, had to be Wynter.
"Fuck off." I said as she sat down.
She ignored me.
"Wynter. Fuck. Off."
"There's no where else to sit." She mumbled.
I looked around, and sure enough, she was right. "Sit on the floor, I don't care, but don't sit with me."
Again, she ignored me. I turned away from her and looked out the window, my ipod playing so loud it hurt my ears. She stared at me, confused.
"Will you quit staring at me?!" I demanded at last.
"Sorry." She mumbled, looking away.
I had hurt her, I could tell, but at the moment I really didn't give a shit. I stared out the window, noticing how the sky was full of dark gray fluffy clouds; it would rain today.
Just at that moment, drops of rain started to slowly fall, hitting the window of the bus. A smile stretched across my face as I watched light raining turn into a thounder storm. Wynter frowned.
"Why are you smiling?" She asked me.
"I like the rain." I said simply.
I got up and shoved my way passed her as the bus came to a stop. Running outside I tilted my head back, letting the rain hit my face. Wynter ran passed me, head down and hood on, and it looked like she was crying, but I couldn't really tell due to the rain.
Wynter's POV
I ran into the girls bathroom and tried to stop the tears that always came when it rained. Me and my mom used to always watch thounder storms together, and I used to always run around the yard with Jackson in the rain. We always used to call it our family rainy days.
The bell rang, and I knew I had to get to first period, but I couldn't make myself go. I'd have to sit next to Alex. Aka the guy who was a jerk when he had no idea what I had been through. Yeah, it's not really an excuse, but he has no right to be such an ass. I never did anything to him, infact, I was always very nice to him.
Taking a deep breath, I wiped my eyes, tried to push all the negative thoughts aside, and headed out into the rain with my head down. I was late to first period, but I didn't care. Alex rolled his eyes at me when I walked in, and I took my seat silently.
"Wynter, would you like to explain why you were late to class?"
I looked up at my teacher, and she looked worried when she saw my face.
I shrugged and looked back down, noticing Alex was staring at me, no hint of any emotion on his face.
Science class was had gone so much worse than I could have even imagined. We were doing a lab today, I knew, but I wasn't sure what the lab was about. Alex was assigned my lab partner, just my luck, and we each grabbed out an apron and goggles. The teacher calmed down the class and then deminstrated what we were going to be doing.
