It's midnight. Therefore, the BEST TIME EVER to write a Halloween oneshot. Ok so it's probably not the correct midnight but it's a midnight all the same so there.

Anyways, enjoy some flufftastic Sabriel because this book hit 1K and I can't thank you guys enough!

Sam's favorite holiday was a success, as usual. He loved the fright night, especially the candy.

Wow, that sounds weird, doesn't it?

Technically it was because of Gabe. The stupid two year old teen always smelled like cotton candy with a burst of strawberry, always carrying around fruity lollies. Candy had began to represent Gabe long ago, and it made Sam feel at home when he had a piece with him.

He sat on his bed, munching on a peep from last year's haul, when his door opened. The moose whirled his head around to stare at the offending person like a deer in headlights.

"Don't worry, Sammich," sparked a smooth, familiar voice. He visibly relaxed as Gabe sauntered into the room, making sure to close the door behind him so that neither of them got a complex. "Your sugar addiction secret is safe with me."

Sam grinned at him and patted the bed. The smaller teen clambered up next to him, eyeing the huge pile of candy in front of him with dilated pupils.

He laughed. "You can have a piece, you know," he said softly, taking another chunk of marshmallow and sprinkles into his mouth.

Gabe shrugged. "I'm trying not to eat so much candy," he admitted, trying to sound indifferent. In reality, his voice cracked slightly.

"Why?" asked Sam, tilting his head and furrowing his eyebrows.

The other boy sighed, biting his plump, pink lip, which drew Sam's gaze away from Gabe's whiskey eyes. "I'm trying to win something from Cassie."

"Win something?"

He nodded. "Call it a favor."

Sam hummed in understanding, though he didn't quite comprehend the details. He wasn't going to pester Gabe about it, though.

They each got lost in their thoughts and Sam found himself studying Gabe once again. It had happened a lot over the past few months, getting progressively worse.

Sam's hazel eyes went over Gabe's own, watching them while the other wasn't looking for a moment. They trailed down to his lips, looking just as kissable as usual, their color sweet like the candy he ate.

Curse his lovestruck mind for oogling even lower, fastening onto his collarbone and abs. His shirt hung more than usual, giving him a good view of his neck, just begging to be kissed. His shirt was tighter, allowing for Sam to see the slight indications of what he knew were prominent abs beneath the worn fabric.

Heavens above did he want all of that to be his.

He unwrapped another box of peeps to keep himself from staring once more. Sam could feel himself start to go red, the heat spreading to his cheeks and for sure turning them a nice primrose.

"What do you think Dean and Cas are doing?" he questioned his friend, willing his mind not to stray.

Gabe grinned, sending a jolt of pleasure down Sam's spine. "They're probably gaming and swearing at each other," he replied cheerfully.

Sam smiled back ever so gently, casting his eyes downward. Why did Gabe have to be so adorable?

The shorter boy gasped in shock, his face flushing to a red color. His features read embarrassed and flattered from top to bottom.

"I'm not adorable," Gabe finally grumbled down, not meeting Sam's eyes.

The moose laughed lowly. "Yeah, actually, you are," he said, deciding to take the chance and roll with it. He hoped he was making the right decision and not losing his best friend.

Gabe shifted closer, his face scrunched up. "Yeah? How?"

"Well," the Winchester began, leaning a tiny bit forward. "For one, you giggle. Freaking giggle, you adorable shit!" He grinned lopsidedly.

"I do not," argued Gabe, though it lacked conviction.

Sam continued, "You always smell like my favorite candies, too."

The Novak fiddled with his hands a moment before meeting hazel eyes once more. "I do?"

"Yeah. It makes me want things I shouldn't." Sam was now so close to his best friend. His eyes flickered down to Gabe's lips.

Gabe frowned. "Why shouldn't you?" he voiced in a whisper.

"I don't want to ruin anything." Sam closed his eyelids for a few seconds, then opened them again to stare at Gabe.

"You won't."

Before either of them knew what was happening, Gabe had closed the space between them in one fluid movement, the action slow and smooth. His lips raked over Sam's own with a perfect precision, as if they weren't meant for kissing anyone else.

Sam's mind shut down. All he could think was the Novak's name, echoing through his mind. His heartbeat went spastic, his hands reaching around to grasp onto Gabe's shirt. He clung to him, pulling him closer.

Air finally got the best of them. They pulled back together, ever so slowly, resting their foreheads against each other. Gabe gave Sam a content smile that was quickly, genuinely matched.

"How's that for a treat, instead?" Sam inquired.

Gabe giggled. "I think I need another taste test to be sure."
