⚽ Chapter 30 ⚽

- Before Anything Ends -

Dominique's POV

I spent the holidays with Wyatt and his mother. It was one of the best Christmas celebrations I had in  decade. After that, we continued with our jobs as fiancees. He was such a sweet man beneath those layers of formal suits.

"Wakey wakey sleepyhead..."

Naramdaman ko ang pagyugyog sa akin. I was too sleepy to even open an eye. After everything that happened, who would sleep soundly right?

"Baby..."

I can smell his scent and it already starts to awaken my sleeping senses. But I'm still sleepy.

"I know you're awake." Naramdaman ko ang paggapang nito sa akin. I feel ticklish but I'm resisting myself to laugh.

"I'm waking you up the best way possible..." Napamulat ako ng mga mata nang kilitiin ako nito.

"Wyatt, stop it already!" Sumasakit na ang tyan ko sa kakatawa. He held my hands on my sides then looked at me. "Hi there, beautiful."

"Hi handsome."

Akmang hahalikan ako nito pero umiwas ako. "Hindi pa ako nagbrush!"

"I don't care. I'll have my kiss."

He swooped down and claimed my lips. His lips moved expertly on top of mine. I was answering his kisses with equal fervor. With our position, I can feel his bulge on my thighs.

"May flag ceremony ka, Wyatt."

"Yeah. That's why we need to get married soon."

"You are such a h*rny man."

Natawa ito sa tinuran ko.

"Marami pa tayong dadaanan ngayon."

"Talaga? Saan tayo?"

The next thing I knew I was standing in front of Wyatt's mother.

"I knew it, Nikki. You will be a part of our family."

Masaya kong niyakap ito. She was my second mother and now, I will officially become her daughter.

"Thanks, Tita."

"You can call me Mama from now on. You are my son's fiancee after all."

"Okay, Mama." Napakasaya ko. It felt like everything is falling into place.

"You know, I thought I could give my son the luxury of having a complete family but I can't. His father is now with the woman he loved all his life. With you, I know you can give him that."

"I will Ma. I love Wyatt and I will give everything I can just to make him happy."

"And hija? I want a lot of grandchildren. Aba ang mga amiga ko, napakaraming apo. Ako nalang ang wala. Ang nakakalungkot pa, mag-isang anak lang ni Wyatt kaya ippressure na kita ngayon pa lang na magka-anak ng marami."

Natawa ako. "Whatever pleases you Ma."

Muli ay niyakap ako nito. "Just keep yourselves happy. Don't let anyone ruin what you have."

"Mukhang seryoso usapan niyo ah. Ma, you sure you are not talking her out of the wedding, right?"

Napatawa kami. Lumapit ako dito at yumakap sa beywang ko. "She just told me how many children should we make for her."

"I'll let you know Ma once we have a little person here," tinapik nito ang puson ko.

"O siya, let the old woman rest now. You go and enjoy prepping your wedding."

Masaya kaming umalis ng bahay nila.

"Babe?" Ginagap nito ang kamay ko at kinintalan ito ng halik. "There's someone I need to talk to today."

"Hm...saan ba iyon?" Nilaro-laro ko ang kamay nito.

"I wanna talk to your Mom and to our baby."

Napatigil ako at napatingin dito. "To the cemetery?"

Tumango ito. "I think that's the place we should be go to right now."

Tinahak na namina ng daan patungong sementeryo. I guided him inside the mausoleum. There stood two altars. One for my mother and for our baby. Pinacremate ko nalang din sila.

Inilapag ni Wyatt ang mga bulaklak at inakbayan ako.

'Ma'am, I know it's probably late but I still want to say sorry to you for hurting Dominique back then. Pangako ko po ngayon, aalagaan ko po siya. Hindi ko na po siya sasaktan tulad noon. I will protect her from anything that might harm her. I love her so much." Bumaling ito sa kabilang altar. "Hi baby, I'm sorry I was not there to save you. I know you are in a better place right now. Please remain to be our guardian angel. I love you baby."

Niyakap ko nalang si Wyatt. "I know we have a lifetime ahead of us and we have a lifetime to enjoy and get to know each other. Looking forward to starting a lifetime with you, Wyatt. We have learned from our past, Wyatt. Yun ang tatandaan natin sa susunod na mga taon."

Ngumiti ito at hinarap ako. "I like the sound of that." Unti-unting bumaba ang ulo nito at napapikit naman ako. Napatigil kami nang may umihip na malamig na hangin.

"Guess we have to wait 'til wedding night."

Napatawa nalang kaming dalawa.

Wyatt's POV

Nang makauwi ako pagkatapos ko siyang maihatid ay nagulat ako dahil nadatnan ko si Hunter, Sebastion, Gavin at Ai sa sala ng bahay.

"Ano 'to?"

Ibinagsak ni Hunter ang dyaryo sa center table.

"What about it? I asked for her hand in marriage."

"Kung hindi pa namin napanood hindi pa namin malalaman."

"Kaya nga pinatelevise ko para malaman ninyo. Did you even know how many calls did I receive that night?"

Nagulat ako nang sabay na naglabas ng alak sa magkabilang kamay sina Hunter at Sebastian. "Well, your bachelor days are over!"

Napatawa naman ako. "I know f*ckers."

Nagsimula na kaming mag-inuman. Mukhang handang-handa ang mga gago. Palibhasa kasi kahit na malasing ang mga ito, they have plenty of rooms to choose from in our house.

Nilapitan ako ni Ai at binigyan ng bagong alak.

"You told me your third favor would come depending on the outcome of your proposal."

"Yeah...I remember."

"What is it?"

"Please be my wedding singer?"

Natawa nalang ako nang maibuga nito ang iniinom.
