"Hi, I'm amanda, I'm Emily's mother." The woman said. Emily started to close the door but Amanda pushed it back open and walked in and towards the living room.
"Emily, aren't you going to tell me who this handsome young man is?"
"No, you are not welcome here, you-"
"The doormat says something else."
"Leave, Amanda." Emily said.
"Why? Why would you want me to leave?"
"You know bloody well why!" Emily said a more angry.
"Honey, I'm your mother, I want to be there for you."
"Shut up, you are not my mother, not to me."
"Sweety, plea-"
"Don't call me that, you know I hate you and I don't want you back in my life, I'm doing fine without you. you decided to leave, so stay away."
"Emily, I know you're mad at me, but we can get through this, together. How about we go get dinner together tonight so we can talk things out?"
"I already planned things for tonight, besides I don't want to go to dinner with you."
"You sound like your brother."
"Good, that means he made the right choice."
"Shutting me out isn't the right choice."
"It feels best now."
"Emily, please give me a chance, please forgive me."
"No, never. And i want you to leave right now or I'll call the police."
Amanda sighed. "Fine." She said and walked back out. Emily closed the door.
"Are you okay?" Chester asked
"Yeah, I'm fine." Emily said and sighed.
"Sure? This is the first time you see your mother in... ten years?"
"Thirteen.... I hope she stays away for thirteen more."
"Why? I know something happened when you were younger but you never told me what happened."
They sat on the couch.
"When I was five years old my mom left. she always said she loved me, my brother and my dad and she would never let us down, that night she tugged me into bed and said the same, but the next morning I woke up, no mommy. she had just left and she never explained why. She never called us again, never send a card or anything. My dad had to raise me and my brother on his own. When I was ten my dad told us that my mother married someone else, even though they never officially divorced. i don't know if that is true but it would not surprise me if she did. She left her family for some guy and now she expects me to just accept her back in my life? not gonna happen."
"I guess I understand, it was a stupid move to just leave like that."
"It was indeed, I hope she leaves us all alone."
"I understand why you say that."
"Anyways, what shall we do?"
"I don't know, tv is fine for now I think and we can just snuggle."
"Okay." Emily said and they watched tv while snuggling on the couch. later that day they went bowling and had dinner together. When they came home there was a note on the door.I hope we can talk soon, if you want to talk to me meet me at the football field on Friday after school, I hope to see you there. I also have something for you.
your mother.
Emily ripped it of and threw it in the trashcan with a sigh.
"Maybe you should go talk to her, maybe she changed." Chester said to Emily.
"Perhaps, but she should show it to me and not just barge in like she did this morning. she should give me a chance to.... I don't know."
"She should have taken it easier?"
"Yes."
"I understand, but I think she just wants to be there for you now and make up for the years she wasn't there."
"I guess you're right"
"But you should sleep it over and give it some time."
"I know, I'm tired as well so I'll do that." Emily said and they walked in.
"And.... you know.... your father is out tonight.... so~" Chester said with a little grin. Emily smiled and chuckled.
"You want to sleep together?"
"If you want to of course."
"I guess.... we could." Emily said and Chester smiled. They made ready to go to bed and they lay down together in bed in the guest room because Emily's bed wasn't big enough. Chester wrapped his arm around Emily and pulled her closer. Emily snuggled against him.
"I could get used to this." She said.
"Me too." Chester said and smiled at her. "You know, I never dated s fruit before..." he said
"Why would you date fruit?"
"Well, you are a cute piece of fruit."
"Since when am I fruit?"
"Well, you are a Kiwi, right?"
"My gosh, Chess, that's just terrible" Emily said chuckling.
"You're my piece of cute fruit" Chester said, pulled her closer and kissed her. Emily kissed back and soon wrapped her arms around him. Chester deepened the kiss and slowly moved his fingers under her shirt and graced them across her side. Emily noticed and pulled back from the kiss a little and grabbed the hand hand he held on her side.
"What is it?" Chester asked.
"I... don't like to be touched...."
"Why not? Did something happen?"
"No, but I just.... I'm awkward with it because I'm not as slim as other girls and have the feeling you'll think I'm fat and gross."
"You really think that?"
Emily looked away and nodded slightly.
"Em, You are not fat, if you think that. I dated other girls and yes, some were slimmer, but you are beautiful the way you are, I like you because you are not like those other girls and only care about how you look, you are yourself and if others don't like that you don't care and just move on. yes, you do have a little more volume, but you are far from overweighed and you are beautiful. Frankly, I rather have you than those cheerleaders, you know why? Because I can actually do things with you. When I was with Amber for example we could hardy do things I like, she didn't even want to go bowling because she was afraid to break her nail because f those balls. And when we went to the movies I could not wrap my arms around her too tight because I might be too rough and hurt her arm, what would look ugly when she would wear her uniform. With you I can do those kind of things and we can frolic, you push me just as much as I push you and I don't have to be afraid I hurt you. And even when I accidentally do you don't care and you can laugh about it afterwards. I like you a lot, and I don't think you are fat, nor gross." Chester said and Emily smiled a little.
"Now you make me feel stupid and guilty."
"Sorry, I'm just being honest."
Emily smiled at him. "I know... and thank you for that, It really means a lot to me."
"Any time, babe." Chester said and they both chuckled. they smiled at each other and Chester kissed her again. Emily kissed back and pulled him closer. Chester rubbed her side again and this time Emily let him. Chester deepened the kiss and pulled her closer. Emily tangled her fingers in his hair and opened her mouth slightly for him. Chester moved his tongue into her mouth and rolled onto her. They kissed more and Chester soon kissed down Emily's neck while pulling her shirt up more.
"Chess." Emily said.
"yes?"
"I don't want to go too far."
"Just tell me when to stop."
Emily nodded and Chester pulled her shirt over her head. He kissed her again and moved one of his hands to her chest, Emily let him at first but stopped him after a while.
"Sorry." She said and put her shirt back on.
"No, I rather have you stop me than that we do something we might regret later." Chester said and wrapped an arm around her. Emily snuggled against him and they soon fell asleep. They woke up the next day when they heard the front door open and close quite loudly. Emily looked at Chester.
"Shit." She said.
"What?" Chester asked sleepy.
"My dad is home... I need to go to my own room real quick now, he cannot find out."
"Shit, yeah, good idea." Chester said and Emily quickly went to her own room, closed the curtains and lay down in bed. A while later she got out and got dressed. She went downstairs and found her father in the living room, pissed as can be.
"Morning, dad." She said.
"Morning, Emily." Andy said, trying to sound calm but it didn't work. Emily made breakfast ready. "What's wrong, dad?" She asked after a while.
"Mikeal is a fucking ass." He said.
"What did he do?" Emily asked. Andy sighed.
"That doesn't matter right now.... how was your day yesterday?"
"Fine.... though.... Amanda was here."
"What?"
"Yup, that was my reaction as well."
"What did she say?"
"That she wanted to be there for me."
"What did you say?"
"No, that I didn't want her back in my life."
"Emily, pl-"
"I know I should give her a chance, but she shouldn't have just barged in like that, she should have slowed down and give me time, not throw herself back into my life."
"I understand.... but please try to give her a second chance, okay?"
"I'll try."
"Thanks." Andy said and sat with her at the table.
"So what happened with Mikeal?"
"Well, as you know i was there yesterday and that was fun, we had a great time, so I made breakfast this morning and brought it up to his room to surprise him, but then he told me he was going to get back together with his ex girlfriend.... so I got... I was slightly upset."
"I think you were more than upset. That really was an stupid move of him."
"Indeed, so I left his place.... without saying anything." Andy said.
"You yelled at him, didn't you?"
"....yeah..."
"I'm sorry about Mikeal... he really seemed nice."
"Yeah, he Did.... he isn't anymore."
Chester then came in. "Morning."
"Morning."
"Morning" Andy said and he walked out of the room. Chester sat at the table.
"Hey, I just got a call..." Chester said.
"Who was it?" Emily asked.
"My dad, he was furious and wants me to come back home."
"Are you going? If you want to you can just stay."
"I don't know... I think I'm going to tell him I'll stay a few more days."
"Okay, I hope you won't get more trouble."
"I'll explain what happened last week, maybe he'll understand."
"I think that's a good idea."
"I'll call him then, after breakfast."
"Okay." Emily said and they ate breakfast together. After breakfast they cleared the table and they did the dishes. Chester grabbed his phone and called his father.
"Chester?" His father asked on the other side.
