“Here’s to the happy new couple!” Luke joked and lifted his can of pop in the air. I scowled at him. Anna grinned along with Dillon and Russel just looked out of it.

“Rus, where’s Ang? I figured you would have invited her,” Anna called Russel out of his day dream. He looked at her for a moment.

“I didn’t even think of that,” he said in all truth. Everyone laughed. Well, everyone laughed but me. Mine was fake. I didn’t want her here. At all. But he probably didn’t want Dillon here, so I immediately told myself to suck it up. “I shall call her,” Russel said and scurried into another room.

20 minutes later, each of us had a beer and were sitting in a circle on the ground. I didn’t drink much, in fact I didn’t even really like it when I did, but drinking games means you need to have drinks.

“Ooh! I’ve got one,” Angie squealed and I internally cringed at the sound, taking a gulp of my drink. I’d need some more to deal with her. “Never have I ever kissed a girl.”

All of the guys swigged their cans. None of the girls moved.

“Well that’s no fun,” Luke commented and I laughed.

“My turn!” I called out. “Never have I ever gone streaking.”

I smirked at Anna as she shyly raised the brim of her glass to her lips. I quickly raised mine to my mouth, taking another gulp. She flushed red as everyone stared at us, mouths open.

“You have to tell the story to that one!” Dillon demanded and let out a bubble of a giggle.

“Homecoming, sophomore year. Well, the after party. Me and Anna got bored and decided to play truth or dare. Which turned into ‘I’ll do it if you do it.’ Oh my god, worst idea ever. We almost got caught,” Anna started to burst out laughing at the memory with me and everyone else laughed, too. Probably at the thought of me and Anna running naked through empty yards. I would’ve laughed too.

Would’ve loved to see that, Russel murmured in my mind and I flushed red.

Shut up, I growled. Dillon seemed to sense my discomfort, putting his hand on the small of my back. My eyes flew to Russel’s immediately. The movement didn’t go unnoticed.

“Never have I ever kissed two different people in the same day,” Russel announced. I glared at him, my heart thudding in my chest. I was alone when I took a sip.

“Who?!” Luke shouted, looking at me with a stupid, surprised look.

Fuck you, I hissed at Russel.

“8thgrade, spin the bottle,” I shrugged nonchalantly. It was true. But not what Russel was looking for.

“Alright. Never have I ever cheated,” Dillon said and my eyes widened as Angie took a drink. She blushed.

“Last year,” was all she said.

“This game’s boring, let’s play Truth or Dare,” Luke announced. I scowled at him. Our version of Truth or Dare wasn’t actually truth or dare. It was dare or dare.

“What are we, in 4thgrade? No. This is better than Truth or Dare,” I spoke up. Apparently I was the only one who thought so because no one even paid me any mind. The first dare was thrown at Anna.

“Anna, I dare you to kiss a girl. Your choice,” he grinned at her. Her face flushed with dread and she glared at him. I swear if looks could kill…

“Spencer, please?” Anna looked at me and my eyes widened. What?

“No way, I am not drunk enough for that yet.”
