“Oh! Ground! Sweet, sweet concrete!” I gasped as I climbed out of the stinky bus. The last 2 hours I had been started to feel extremely car sick. I greedily gulped in the fresh air. We spent a whole day on that damn bus. The people never shut up and they had been starting to annoy me to no extent.

“Spencer, shut it,” Russel said to me and threw my bag at me. I had been in such a rush that I completely forgot about my bag. Woops. My cheeks reddened slightly as I huffed and slung it on my shoulder. Russel guided me out of the way of people coming off the bus. I smiled sheepishly at him and he gave me a flat look. “The last 3 hours you were perfectly quiet.”

“I was car sick, geez,” I muttered, looking anywhere but him. “Where are we staying tonight anyways?”

“Uh, I saw a hotel about a block away. We can walk it,” he said and gripped my hand.

“Ugh, it feels so good to stretch my legs,” I said 5 minutes into our silent walk. The sun was just about setting and I was ready to sleep in a real bed.

“I can’t wait to shower,” Russel sighed.

“I can’t wait to sleep on a real bed,” I voiced my thoughts.

“Mhmm,” Russel agreed. I sighed and tried readjusting my book bag again. The strap was digging into my skin and I absolutely refuse to put both straps on. Talk about lookin’ nubby.

“Weakling,” Russel joked as he took my book bag strap out of my hand. He slung it on his shoulder. I furrowed my brows at him. “I don’t get why you couldn’t just use both straps, but whatever.”

            “Jerk.”

“That’s how you thank me? I feel so special.”

“Yes. Yes it is,” I nodded. He chuckled.

“And looky there,” Russel pointed to the lit up hotel sign. I almost squealed in delight, but I chose to refrain myself last second.

“Thank the lord,” I muttered. Our pace quickened slightly as we walked to the front door. As we walked in the door, I was immediately distracted by the giant aquarium. As I drifted towards it, Russel chuckled quietly in the background. I smiled lightly. There had to have been 10 different types of fish in this thing. I was in the middle of counting when Russel tugged on my arm.

“Pushy, pushy,” I said as he chuckled and pressed the button on the elevator. We both stepped into it once it dinged. Russel pressed the little 2 button. Second floor, how exciting.

We were both quiet until we walked into the room. I immediately threw myself at the bed. The blanket was fluffy and comfortable. Russel chuckled at me and dropped himself down next to me.

“Dibs on the shower,” Russel called out after a moment of silence. I laughed.

“Good, you stink,” I teased. He leaned over and kissed me.

“You enjoy my stink,” he joked.

“Go shower, stinky!” I kicked him in the thigh and he dramatically sighed and got out of the bed.

“Fine, I know when I’m not wanted,” he exclaimed and walked into the bathroom. It took until the water started for me to realize he hadn’t brought anything in there with him. My cheeks blushed wildly. I let out a deep breath before starting to collect my things. I could handle a boy in a towel. No big deal.

I let out an exasperated sigh when I realized that I hadn’t brought anything to sleep in. Who does that?!

I’m taking one of your shirts, I said to Russel.

Take ‘em all, he said back. I let out a laugh. Doofus. I wrapped my necessities and such into one of Russel’s shirt. I had chosen on of his biggest shirts he packed. Last thing I needed was an over hormonal boy. Maybe. I blushed again.

I tugged at my hair with a brush as I waited for Russel to finish with his shower. I thanked the heavens when I realized that I brought a razor with me, too. I didn’t even remember shoving it into my bag.

I was still sitting on the floor in front of my bag working the brush through my hair when Russel walked out of the bathroom. My eyes nearly popped out of my head. He had a towel loosely hung around his hips. I watched him as he paid me no attention and started to sort through his bag. I swallowed before stupidly saying “I uh-I’m gonna shower now.”

I nearly smacked myself on the forehead once I closed the door. I heard him chuckle on the other side of it. Sighing, I turned on the water and stripped down. I wondered what Russel was doing as I worked the cheap hotel shampoo through my hair. Probably watching TV. I let the thought drop from my head as I quickly shaved my legs (you can never be too sure okay) and finished my shower.

I pulled Russel’s shirt over my head and got to work on at least drying my hair a little bit. I was okay with my hair being wet, just not dripping wet. When I was done, I collected my things and walked back into the main room. I tried shoving my things into my bag, but I only ended up making a mess. I let out a sigh and Russel laughed. I shot him daggers with my eyes. He gave me my smile. Butterflies went ramped in my stomach.

“Come to bed already, it’s 11,” Russel said and lifted the blankets. I bit my lip as I slid into the warmth of the bed next to him. My hand made contact with his bare chest, sending chills throughout my body. Before anything else could be done, his lips connected with mine. His moved feverishly against mine, causing my blood to race. His hands reached out, pulling me to straddle him. I let out a strangled noise as we made flesh-to-flesh contact. He groaned into the kiss, his tongue colliding with mine. His hands traveled under the baggy shirt, bunching it around my waist. His hands were warm against my cold skin. My fingers sunk into his hair as he rolled us over.

“You’re already mine, let’s make it official,” Russel whispered. Heat rushed throughout my body as I gnawed my lip. He kissed down my neck, his teeth grazing the crook out of it. It sent shivers straight to my spin.

“I-I don’t know,” I admitted. “We- well, we’re both cats.”

The reason this was important will now be explained. When two cats (let’s emphasize specifically two cats) mate, the female goes into heat. For 4 days. If you don’t know what heat is, then look it up. If I had mated with Dillon, since he wasn’t another cat, I wouldn’t have to worry about this. But Russel is.

“I booked the hotel for the week,” Russel stated, looking at me with lustful eyes. I laughed.

“So sure you were going to get some, weren’t you?” he gave me another lazy grin. Another pulse of heat hit me again when he grazed my neck again.

“I love you. I love you so much. Be mine, let me mark you. I’ll be yours,” he kissed me slowly. “Forever,” he whispered as he pulled away a fraction of an inch.

I don’t know what I was thinking, but I whispered hoarsely “Do it.”

Maybe it was the loving look in his eyes, or maybe I had figured since I had already ran away with him, we might as well. But he did it. And that wasn’t the only thing he did that night, either.

AN: lol they had sexy time. weeee
