My alarm wakes me up at 5:40am to get me ready for today. I hop to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror to check what imperfections should I cover with makeup. I brush my teeth and take a quick shower to go to my closet and decide what am I going to wear. I pull out a floral dress, and a denim jacket and wear it with black thights and black boots. For my makeup, I decide to wear a more natural look and for hair I make some waves with my curler. By 6:50am I'm all dressed up and ready to go. I go down stairs and start helping my mom with the breakfast that is almost done. My sister walks down and the three of us sit on the table where my father is supposed to be joining us. My mom quickly reads our uncomfortable faces as Camillia and I look at the empty chair at the same time. "Um, he left early for work sweeties, he had a very important pacient to attend and he's doing his best to succeed with this person's life, just as always. He promised to get back home early as well." I guess it's pretty normal to not have dad around most of the time. He's a doctor, so I grew up portraying him as a hero. He saves people's lives everyday, and people need him more than I do, but sometimes I just wish that wasn't the case. Even though I've always been proud of him, my sister was never pleased with my father's constant absence. I guess she does need him more than I do.
As soon as we finish our breakfast, I follow Camillia towards her car. I mentally prepare myself to hear Brendon's obnoxious voice at the car's radio because since Camillia bought the band's album, she hasn't stopped listening it.
I guess his voice is not that annoying after all, but he is.
I wonder how Oliver's voice is. He told us he could sing, but since we were at the mall, he didn't want to show off.
I walk up to the school's entrance and find a smiling Bell along with her boyfriend Steve and I hug them. "Well, I'm obviously third wheeling here, so gotta go, bye!"
"Oh, I wonder where you're going, or should I say who you're looking for?" Bell giggles and wraps her arms around Steve's waist. I told her Oliver was coming to our school. "We haven't seen him yet by the way." She says looking at Steve."I don't know how he looks like!" Steve says and Bell rolls her eyes.
"I won't be looking for him" I lie.
"Yeah, sure, you're also a piece of shit liar." My best friend laughs and I stick out my middle finger to her and walk away.
I have walked around school for a while and I can't seem to find Oliver anywhere. Not that I'm desperately looking for him, but as I walked around, I was kind of hoping to at least see him before I got to class.
I enter early as always to my homeroom and seat at my usual chair at the very back. After I seat, someone that clearly I wasn't expecting to show up this early was James. Unfortunately, I see my ex everyday here at English class and at Chemistry. Also, for my bad luck, Anna and her minions take this class too. James gives me a smirk as I pray for him to not seat by my side or at the front seat. Everybody starts to enter the classroom and thankfully he seats at the opposite side of the classroom with the rest of the jocks. Bell enters holding hands with Steve and he kisses her cheek before sitting along with the jocks as she seats in front of me. The rest of the class passes by boringly.
After English, I take Spanish class along with Bell. We seat at the back too and make fun of the stupidity of the brainless cheerleaders. Good thing about Bell is that her parents are latinos, just like mine, so she understands the pros and cons of growing up with latino parents. We don't tolerate mean people, but we make fun of the people that according to us, deserve to be made fun of.
