Abby's POV

I wake up by Kristen slapping my face. I'm pretty sure I've been here a few days now, and each day has been worse than the last.

"Ok, listen here you little brat, Dave and I need to run some errands, so we're leaving you here. When we get back, if you've moved even an inch, you will be punished. Understand?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Good." She leaves the room and locks the door behind her.

I hear the car leave and I decide I need to try and get out of here. I start rubbing on my wrists against the corner of the chair until it eventually breaks. I then untie my my ankles and limp over to the locked door. I take out the papeclip I found and use it to unlock the door. I flinch as I take another step on my probably broken ankle. There's no way I could run away, so I grab the phone and call the police.

"Hello, 911, what is your emergency?" The woman on the phone says.

"I was kidnapped a few days ago and the people are gone so I was able to get to a phone, but I don't know how much longer they'll be gone!" I reply frantically.

"Ok sweetie, I need you to tell me your name and address."

I hear the garage door open.

"OH MY GOD THEY'RE HOME!"

"Sweetie, I want you to stay safe, I've already tracked your phone, so I want you to hangs up. There'll be people there to help you in a few minutes. Ok?"

I hang up and go back to the room as fast as I can.

"ABIGAIL!" Kristen screams and I try to close the door on her. "WERE YOU TRYING TO ESCAPE?!"

Before I can answer, the front door opens and police barge in.

"Put you hands above your head!" One yells.

Kristen shoves me to the ground and I crawl against a wall while the cops put her in handcuffs.  Suddenly we hear a car start and see Dave trying to get away. Another cop gets in his car and chases him down while another puts Kristen in their car.

"Hey." A female officer puts her hand on my shoulder. "Are you ok?"

I nod. "I am now."

"Let's get you to the hospital for those cuts and then you can tell us what happened."

Patrick's POV

Pete is making me stay home today because I've been looking for Abby nonstop and barely sleeping. So they're all out while I'm stuck at home. Ok supposed to be sleeping-and trust me, I want to-but can't knowing Abby is still missing. Suddenly my phone rings.

"Is this Mr. Patrick Stump?"

"Yes. Who's this?"

"I'm Officer Brown, I'm here with your daughter Abigail Stump."

"Oh my god! Is she ok?"

"She is now. I'm taking her to the hospital now. You can meet us there."

"Ok,  I'll be there right away." I hang up and text the guys.

PS: they found Abby-meet me at the hospital

PW: thank god

PW: on my way

JT: im 5 minutes away

AH: be there soon

I quickly get in the car and drive to the hospital. When I arrive, I see Joe's car parked there already. I rush into the building and ask where Abby's room is. I'm told she's on the fourth floor in room 463. I go up there and see Joe sitting outside the room.

"Hey, how's Abby?"

"I don't know. Thought I should let you go on first, since she's your daughter."

"Ok."

I go over to her room and push the door open. I see Abby laying in a bed with bandages covering cuts and bruises sticking out wherever skin was visible. She was sitting upright watching tv.

"Dad!" She exclaims.

"Abby! Oh my god. I'm so sorry I let this happen to you. How are you?" I ask going to give her a hug. At my touch she flinches and I pull back. "Sorry. What hurts?"

"Everything." She says chuckling.

I feel so bad for her. I'm supposed to protect her from things like this. What kind of father am I that I can't even protect my daughter? I don't even know who kidnapped her. Suddenly the door opens and a police officer walks in.

"Hello Abby. I need to ask you some questions." The officer says. "I'm assuming you're her adoptive father?"

"Yes sir."

"Officer Brown." She says offering a hand.

"Patrick Stump." I say shaking it.

"Ok Abby, I need you to tell me everything."

"Everything?"

"Yes, start right at the beginning."

"Like when I still lived with them?"

"Yes."

So her old parents kidnapped her? My god that's horrible. She's told me bits and pieces of things that they've done to her, but I guess now I'll know the entire story.

"Ok." She says sighing. I sit down on the bed next to her. "It all starts when I was little. When I was born, I can't remember ever being treated terribly, but when I could walk and talk, that's when it started to get bad. There was one week when my whole family did a bunch of fun things, but after that, everything went wrong. My sister, who seemed to be the only person who liked me, died of cancer and my parents started treating me horrible. They already hated me, but they blamed her death on my. They started treating me like a dog. They would yell at me, beat me, lock me in my room. I was bullied at school and one day I came home crying and they took me out of school because they thought I was overreacting and it was too much work to take me there every morning. I thought not going to school would be better, not dealing with the bullying, but it just made things worse. They were able to abuse me 24/7. My dad started raping me and I couldn't do anything about it because he'd tie me to the bed. Then I was diagnosed with cancer and my parents put me in an orphanage. I had a wish to use, so I used it to meet Fall Out Boy. Then they adopted me. Life was better than ever until my birth parents kidnapped me. When they took me, they put a rag over my mouth that made me pass out. At their house, I was tied to a chair and locked in a room. They barely fed me. While I was there, they beat me, giving me these cuts and bruises, they broke my ankle, they whipped me with a belt, my dad raped me again, and they said horrible things to me. Then I was able to get to a phone and call the police. Now I'm here." I rub Abby's back while she tells her story with tears in her eyes. No one should get have to go through something like that.

She suddenly falls onto me and I embrace her in a hug that she graciously accepts.

The cop eventually leaves. Pete, Joe, Andy, Brendon, Dallon, Kenny, and Spencer all come in after the cop leaves. Doctors and nurses come and go, checking on Abby and giving her food. Everyone else leaves after awhile until it's just me, Abby, and Pete. The doctor wants to keep her overnight, so Pete and I decide to stay with her. I'm not letting my little girl out of my sight again.
