Son of Kronos

Chapter 5

Percy P.O.V.

     Annabelle led me to my cabin while I was hugging my new Nemo plush. I love it and I'm happy that Bethie and everyone else bought it for me. "Time to sleep Percy!" said Annabeth and tucked me in bed, planting a kiss on my cheek. I didn't notice because I was already asleep. Too bad I had a nightmare...

Annabeth P.O.V.

     Percy is so cute when he's sleeping. Oh and there's some drool... Ugh. Same ol' Seaweed Brain! I just wish he was still his normal age! (btw, how old is Percy? 18?) He doesn't remember me or any of his friends! And now that Kronos' rising, we need him more than ever! I headed back to my cabin so my siblings wouldn't be worried. I jumped in bed and pondered over my thoughts until I eventually fell asleep.

     "AHH!!!" I woke up to a scream, which sounded suspiciously like Percy! I got out of bed as quickly as possible and scrambled out the door.

Percy P.O.V

~Dream~

     I hid in a closet and tried to be as quiet as possible. "Where are you, you little brat? Come out!" I shivered, fearing the consequences I would have to face when he found me. I could hear Gabe opening cabinet doors and checking underneath stuff. His footsteps came dangerously close and I stopped breathing. The doors opened, "Found you, you little brat. Now come out." My legs felt like they were glued to the ground. I couldn't move. "Come out now!" I trembled. He picked up bottles from the ground and threw them at me. He continued doing so until he left to go get a knife. I curled up in a ball, too afraid to move. Gabe came back holding the knife and smiling evilly, making me flinch as he drew closer.  I screamed in agony over and over as the knife sliced through my skin. Blood was gushing out of my skin and old scars were ripped open. "Ring Ring Ring!" A cellphone sounded; Gabe's phone. It was Mom! He cursed and ignored the call. He cut himself a little and smeared some of my blood on himself. Then he answered mom's call, panting and saying that we were attacked by some thieves and were severely injured. She rushed home.

~Dream end~

I woke up in a start. That dream keeps haunting me. "Percy, are you okay?" asked a calming voice and instantly I was less scared. "You had a nightmare?"
