The Nobody

Chapter 5

"Oh hey your awake thought I was going to have to go up there and wake you up," Andy said. I rolled my eyes and grabs me something to eat and ignores him. I head to school and that's when things changed. I was walking to my locker when I open it and sees a note was slipped inside of my locker.

I pull it out and read the note.

Hey there nobody we have been watching you for a long time and we thought you should join our gang called the nobodies. Meet us after school at the gym.

I didn't see a name on the note I shrug it off. I was going to throw it away when I stopped and instead slide the note into my pants pocket.

*Andy's point of view*

I couldn't help but watch her walk away. I heard her talking in her sleep. I was getting worried. I was wondering who this Angel person was. When she says his/her name I heard anguish in her voice. I was going to wake her up but something stops me.

I kept watching her walk away as she leaves. I was going to offer her a ride to school but I knew she would say no. So instead I grab what I need and drive to school. I pull up and I walk inside I noticed that I got there before she did. I walk past Ruby's locker and that's when I see someone slip a note inside of it.

I was curious about it I watched the person. When they turned around I saw their face and my eyes widen in shock. I've seen this person before but I can't remember where. I walk to her locker and I pick the lock. I pull the note out and read what was said. I frowned.

I was just about to take the note and make sure she doesn't read it. But I couldn't help but be curious about these people. That's when I see Ruby walk to her locker. I move away after slipping the note back in and head to class. I knew I was going to go there as well.

*Ruby's point of view*

I go into class and I ignore Andy the whole time. To my surprise he doesn't try to talk to me. I look at him and saw that he was lost in thought. A part of me wanted to know what he was thinking about. But I shake myself and I look up and sees that soon class and school will be over.

I kept thinking about the note that is in my pants pocket. I knew I shouldn't go. I didn't see a point of it. I mean after Angel I didn't trust anyone to be friends with me. But I had to know who they are and what they wanted from me. Finally the bell rings and I get up and heads to the gym.

I walk inside and I see that no one is in. I was just about to walk away knowing that it was a prank. When I felt someone grab my hand and stop me. I look back and sees that there was a boy. Who had black hair that was pulled to the side of his face. He has hazel eyes and he wore all black.

He flips his hair to the side but it flops back into his face again. I pull my hand away and he lets me then he smiles a little. "Finally you showed though I was half expecting you not to show up," he said.

I shake my head trying not to laugh. The boy looks at me curiously. "Anyways my name is Jimmy and the others will be here shortly there are seven of us in total minus you. If you join us then we will have an even number of eight," he says. I noticed that he used the word if.

I honestly thought they thought I would automatically join them. But I was wrong. So Jimmy pulls me to the bleachers and I follow him and we sit down. He begins to chat with me and I listen for a while. Then I hear the doors open again and I look up seeing six other kids.

Some I knew because they were in the same class as me. Others I never seen around. I tense up wondering what is going to happen when one of them steps up and looks at me and grins at me. "Hey you made it! Some of these idiots didn't think you would. But I told them to give you a chance," the person says.

"Oh where are my manners let me introduce the whole gang to you minus Jimmy. Since I'm sure he already told you his name," the person says. I nodded my head and the person smiles. That's when they speaks up.

"This is Sarah," the person points to each person that they name. "This is Jack, this is Michelle, this is Johnny, this is Ashley but she goes by Ash, and I'm Sam," he says. I nodded my head and I was about to speak up when Sam stops me. "We already know your name Ruby that's why we called you over here," he says.

I looked at him curiously and I can't help but speak out on what's on my mind. "Should I be scared that you guys have been stalking me this entire time?" I asked. His eyes widen in surprise and the others laugh. "No we don't stalk. We just hear what others say is all," he says.

"Anyways I wanted to talk about you joining our team. I know you don't believe in friends. But we don't have to be friends. We can be like a club you want to join," he says. I listen to what he's saying but I fidget. I have half a mind to runaway. But if I hang out with them then I can get Andy off of my back.

I think to myself. Just as I was about to say yes that's when the devil himself walks in. He smiles and looks around. "I'm not late am I?" He asked. The others tense up and so do I. "Actually you aren't even supposed to be here. This is a club for people like us not people like you," Jack said.

I couldn't help but cringe. I think about all the times I tried to fit in and how people wouldn't let me. "Let him join if you let him join I'll join as well," I heard myself say.

Everyone turned to me and stared at me in surprise. I couldn't help but do the same thing. What was I thinking? I wanted to stay away from Andy and here I was. Saying I wouldn't join their club unless he did. I wanted to slam my head into a locker. I fight the urge and I didn't back down on what I said.

The others looked at each other for a moment before shrugging their shoulders not knowing what else to do or say. "Alright then he can join," Sam said. Andy grins at me and I ignore him. "So what exactly do you guys do?" I asked. The others grin and that's when they grab my hand.

I tense up and was about to pull away when I looked up and saw that they were all smiling at me. They didn't look at me with hatred in their eyes. They looked like they wanted me to be a part of their group. I stop tensing up and I let them drag me away.

That's when they pull me to another room and I see that they have it all made up. Their were band posters all over the walls and there were couches and chairs. "Sorry thought we would talk here about what we do and what goes on in this group," Sam said.

I could tell that Sam was the leader of this group. Everyone sits down and I sit in a chair pulling my legs underneath me. "We aren't like other clubs we actually pull people that are outcasts and bring them here to be accepted. It's not fair that people judge others for being different. So if they want to call us nobodies then we will use it against them," he said.
