The Nobody

Chapter 16

"So then are you guys going to help us out on this? I don't think we can do this on our own. With just it being Andy and me. We will still help you guys with what you guys need help on. So what is your plan that you came up with?" I asked Sam.

The others look at each other before Michelle stands in front of me. "Well we came up with an event that we thought people would love to come to. You know a place where everyone can meet up and enjoy themselves and get to know each other. I mean what better way to get a long with people.

Then by throwing an event that everyone will enjoy. We thought that if its not violent. Then we can show these people what kind of people we are," Michelle says. I couldn't help but look at her and smile. It didn't sound like a bad idea at all. Maybe we could add some stuff. But it is usually the best way to get people together.

"It sounds like a great idea to me. I don't see why we couldn't use it at all. But when should we have this party?" I asked curiously. Michelle looks at the others before she looks back at me and bites her lip frowning. "Actually we were hoping you would tell us that," she said. I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head. "How about we have it during the weekend in two weeks?" I asked the others. 

They all look at each other before looking back at me again. "Actually that is a good idea we will definitely get it all together then," Michelle says with a smile. We all stay and hang out talking about ideas. I look at Andy and I smile really big at him he looks at me and smiles back at me. I would never admit to him but he has made my life better and he has been right about a lot of stuff he has said. 

Maybe things will go better in my life and I can finally do something good with it for once. I think to myself. It wasn't long before I saw what time it was and I look at Andy and he looks back at me. I point at the clock and he looks at it and nods his head. 

He faces the rest of the group. "Hey guys its getting late maybe we should call it a night tonight?" Andy asks them. Everyone looks at the time and realizes the same thing that we did. The group nods their heads and they get up brushing themselves off. They start to file out of the place one by one.

The person who ends up leaving last is Sam he walks over to me with a smile on his face. I smile back. "I really am sorry for how we all acted towards you Ruby. We should have had more faith in you. Despite how far fetched the story you told us sounded to us. But we are glad you confided in us and told us the truth. Whatever you need us to do we will back you up 100%", he says to me.

I smile and threw my arms around him and hugs him tightly and then I kiss him on the forehead. I let him go and stand back away from him. "Thank you that is really nice of you to say that to me. All that matters right now is you guys backing me up. We will meet up again tomorrow and go into that world. Maybe if we all went inside of it then maybe we can talk to the other people that live in there. If we do that we could get some clues," I say with confidence. 

He smiles at me and walks out of the house I close the door after him and turn around and sees Andy watching me closely. I blush deeply and walk over to him. He seems lost in thought when I got close to him. "What are you thinking about?" I asked him. He jumps a little and looks at me. "You scared me there for a moment and sorry I was thinking about the meeting. 

I was thinking about how they all reacted differently on what you said to them. I think I might be overthinking things but I could be wrong. All I can say is that we will find out tomorrow one way or another," he says mostly to himself. I nod my head and I walk away from him not giving much thought on what he was trying to say there. I head to my room lost in my own thoughts. I crawl into my bed and it wasn't long until I started to drift off to sleep. I could feel my mind dragging me into dreamland. 

I was back into the world of mirrors. The Ruby that showed me her life stood before me. She was smiling at me big. "I see that you got more people to join you. I knew that you could do it," she said.

I smile walking over to her. "Well I had to show them proof first before they believed me. But now that, that has been taken cared of. The next step is to get them to come here. When that happens hopefully we can figure out what is going on and fix things," I say. The other Ruby smiles at me some more.

"Yep but there is something else you need to know," she says to me. I wait for her to tell me. "When they all get here you gotta be careful on who you trust. There are people here who don't want the doubles here. That's what you guys get called from outside the mirrors," she said to me.

I frown. "Why haven't you told me until now?" I asked a little upset. She looks down at the ground before she looked up at me with shame in her eyes. "I was told not to tell you this. We were afraid you weren't going to help us out," she says to me. I sigh putting my hands on my hips staring her down. "Is there anything else that I should know about?" I asked her. She stands there and looks at me for a moment thinking I am assuming. "Nope I think that is it. 

We appreciate you helping us," she said to me. I nodded my head just as we stood there that is when I hear something coming up behind me. I turn around and looked to see what was behind me. There was a person approaching us I have never seen this person before. I feel the other Ruby flinch beside me. I looked at her curiously wondering what is scaring her. 

That was when I felt the person standing in front of me. I look up at the person and he has this cold look in his eyes. "Yes? is there something that I can do to help you?" I asked him slowly. He smirks at me before he opens his mouth. "Yes there is something that you could do for me. In fact you are the only one who can do this.  

Do you think you could leave our world and never show you're ugly ass here ever again?" he asks with a smirk. That's when I knew that this is what the other Ruby warned me about. I knew that things are just now going to get interesting around here. I think to myself. "Well isn't that just the cutest thing you have ever heard coming from a male's mouth," I say snarkily. 

His eyes widen a little but then it goes away. He smirks even more at me. "I don't think that you understand the situation that you are in. It could get really ugly for you and anyone else that is helping you out. So I am giving you a nice and fair warning since I am that kind of guy. But if you don't heed my warning then the next time that we see each other it won't be on good terms," he says to me. with that he walks away and disappears.

I look at the place that he disappeared at. I think over on what we just talked about. I knew that he could be trouble after all.
