* Lenny’s POV *

Months have passed by and things between Ava and I went smoothly, proving to people that even if we gave in to having a relationship fast and early, it wasn’t just because we were desperate, but there was real love present amongst us, which made them kept quiet.

And I’m not just talking about our friends and family, but also the people who thought they all had a say in our relationship.

The whispers that can be heard whenever Ava and I were out in public as it slowly lessened each day, until it came to a point when you can’t hear anything from them. I guess they got tired of wishing we’d break up, seeing how happy we both were.

 Today would mark our fourth month together, and I’d say we’re still going strong, already planning on our vacation together, to officially meet her dad and step mum in Melbourne. I’ve actually spoken to them, but Ava wants me to come over and meet him in person. Ava told me I’d probably like her dad because we’re both goofballs.

“Is Ava watching our show tonight?” Lukas asked as I nodded.

“I think she’s also bringing Clar and Jade.” I confirmed as we all headed out the stage for last minute rehearsals.

Show tonight will be starting in a few hours and my girl’s still stuck at work at the moment, catering to customers’ orders. The last time I’ve heard from her was an hour ago, and she was still working out on the items they have to send out for delivery before businesses closes. It would be for a fashion event and things couldn’t go wrong or as she says, she’ll be dead, and our relationship might be at risk for the following week if she doesn’t make it on time.

No, she wasn’t going to break up with me or anything, but our dates will be reduced as she had to make up from the missed deadline.

With that being said I let her go and told her that I’ll be wishing, hoping, and praying she’d get it done. If only I could help her out today, I’d do it in a heartbeat, but we both had different priorities.

“So you’d rather mess up our show and daydream all night long?” John slapped the back of my head as I realized I was marching in the middle of the stage, alone. The rest of the boys had headed back to our dressing room and John just came back to see if I had woken up.

Which I did, by the way. Thankfully, just right in time before the gates have opened, else people would see me marching weirdly on stage.

I shook my head, following him as he laughed and told me some story. The minute I stepped foot inside the room, I checked my phone for any missed calls or messages. And just right in the nick of time, I’ve managed to answer Ava’s call.

“Hey baby, I’m sorry I probably won’t make it in time for your show. We just finished loading up and I’ll just be leaving my store. But hopefully, we’ll make it in time for your last song, depending on how Jade drives.” She chuckled, and then I heard Jade spoke up in the background, telling me she’d try to make her car fly.

“It’s fine.” I lied, I was really hoping she could watch it. “Just be safe, girls.”

“Baby, I promise I’ll watch the next.” I heard Ava said on the other side of the line. “Love you.”

“I thought you had forgotten about the gummies?” John inquired as he watched me munching on a pack while stressing that until now Ava and her friends hasn’t arrived yet and we’re already done with our set.

The rest of the Justice Crew boys decided to call it a night. However, I stayed, and John wanted to watch the other shows.

“Ava hasn’t called.” I panicked. Worry was evident in my voice, thinking something might have happened to them. Maybe Ava felt really bad she couldn’t make it in time, so she asked Jade to step on the gas faster than a speed of a bullet. Especially when she noticed the change in my voice, how sad my voice turned, telling her it was fine.
