* Ava’s POV *
“Ava… Wait!” John called as I left Lenny tearing his heart up. I hated leaving him, but he did this. He kept it as a secret and lied to me, when in fact, I have given him a chance to tell me the truth, and he chose not to say anything, or rather, continue on with the lie.
“Ava…” John grabbed my arm, the same as Lenny did earlier. “Please don’t leave Lenny. I know he made a mistake and I don’t approve of what he did. But please hear me out. Just because he’s my twin brother, it doesn’t mean that I approve all of he did, but I wanted to explain his side further. Maybe then, you’d understand why he did it. And I’m sorry that you felt the same with your dad.”
I was trying to open my car door, but my hands were shaking from crying.
He then took the keys and led me to the passenger side. “I’m driving you home.” John told me, and I just gave in.
Soon, we had made it safely at my apartment and John followed me inside. He sat at the lounge room and waited for me to settle down.
“Do you want anything?” I asked, and he asked for water.
Getting water in the fridge, I tossed him a bottle as I opened mine.
“You have a minute to talk about your brother, and then, after that you may either leave or talk about other things.” I sighed.
“Ava, Len didn’t tell you because he was afraid you’d be like the other girls who left him because of having a kid. He was trying to find the right time, but every time that happens, something else gets in the way. He didn’t want you to find out this way, I promise. We had a talk about this and he told me he wanted to see first how you would react to Harley.” John explained, and I can feel the sincerity in his voice as I relaxed.
“Harley loves you. You’re the first ever girl that he had actually responded the first time he saw you. Usually, when he meets Len’s previous girls, he would shy away or hide behind someone. But with you, he’s different.” He continued.
“Len was going to tell you tonight. I don’t know why he freaked out earlier, but he was going to tell you tonight. I swear on my life, he was.” John added, even had his hand on his heart when he made that promise.
“When you moved out of the room earlier, Harley cried for you. He wanted you. He was actually calling for you, but…” John explained and I felt his words touching my heart even more.
It was all on me now. The decision was all on me. It was either I’d leave him permanently, or give him another chance.
Though, I was still undecided and needed time to think. “I’ve heard enough.”
“Lenny loves you so much, Ava.” John uttered before leaving. “Please give him another chance, and I promise I’ll knock on his head to the right path.”
John left after our talks and gave me updates every hour or so of what was happening. He said how he witnessed Len and Harley having a crying contest while in the car on their way home which made my heart broke even more.
The last time I’ve heard from John was that they were already home and Len went straight to his room, locking himself in. He didn’t even have dinner or anything, and didn’t want to talk to anyone.
“Please stop it, John.” I texted, before heading to bed.

The idea sleeping was stripped off from me as I tossed and turned on my bed, trying out different positions just so I could sleep peacefully, but then nothing does ever count. Classical music helps me sleep on most days, but this time, it didn’t even work after I finished an album.
