You just don't want them to look at you any different then they did today or yesterday... or even the day before.. you want to see the same glimmer of hope of them thinking you're their helping hand to drag them out of the darkness and say everything will be okay
You want them to see the pure love in your eyes along with the empathy you have to understand their pain and wrap your arms around their precious being to protect them with every inch of your heart... when they give that smirk that look that smile that just melts your heart how could you ever disappoint them with your dark past to see their eyes broken at the thought of your pain would make you ache
