Some girls will continue in a bad relationship rather than end it. They are sure that they have a better standing in the eyes of their friends if they have a boyfriend. This may even involve keeping someone who is unsuitable rather than ending the relationship. Also the fear of loneliness, of being alone and without a boyfriend is worse than tolerating someone who they don’t want to be with.
3. Trying to be what the other person wants.
They may doubt that their own views and opinions have any real merit. Other people are better, cleverer than they. There can be the constant pressure to adapt, adjust and suppress their own opinions and thoughts to fit in with the latest boyfriend. This can be done to ensure that the relationship survives but can result in the girl losing her own personality and interests because she is so preoccupied with complementing her date.
4. What will other people think.
Some girls feel like an ugly duckling if they have no boyfriend. Even if they look at their friends relationships and do not want that for themselves there is still a feeling of being unattractive, a loser, having something wrong.
