"I missed you baby girl" he said into my hair" I was smiling so happy I found him into I realized. Why had he left.

"Dad" I said in a serious tone. "Why did you leave" he pulled away and wouldn't make eye contact with me. He huffed before saying.

"I'm sorry Ari. Things were going down hill around the house. I was loosing money and your mother was losing interest. She thought it best I leave. So I packed up and I did" I looked at him sad. All these years I could have had a dad but no. My mom lost interest. Again.

"I missed you dad" he smiled before hugging me.

"Me too. Me too" he then told me him and michone had to go on a run but we would catch up when he gets back. He left shortly after and it was just me and Rick in the room.
"I'm happy for you Ari" he said putting his hand on my shoulder. "Finding your dad and all." I smiled about to thank him when Carl and his loud mouth butted in. Again.

"Is Daryl actually her dad"? He grunted. I rolled my eyes about to say something when Rick butted in.

"Carl. Mind your own damn business" he raised his eyebrows and hands in a surrendering way before walking out the room. I listened as his boots clinked on the floor and rounded the corner and eventually faded away. I turned to Rick shocked and just laughed.

Rick smiled before excusing himself leaving me by myself. I started walking towards my cell where I'll just wait there until dinner or something exciting happens. I just got in and plopped in the bed when I heard footsteps stop outside my door. I turned to see Carl.

"Can I help you?" I asked sarcastically.
