I Am Cancer ((A Deadpool Story))
Chapter 31:- Loki
"I can never love you, Peter."
'What are you doing?'
'THIS IS WHAT WE WAITED FOR, HIM TO LOVE US, SO WE COULD CRUSH HIM AND KILL HIM.'
'You're ruining this for us, Wade!'
'We could have Spidey's cute little ass in our bed right now, but you're being a twat!'
'WADE! LISTEN! TO! US!'
Wade climbed down the side of the building, and entered his house, hearing the quiet sobs of Peter Parker as he went. He locked the door, heading to his bedroom finding Stevie still awake. "We're not very good with love are we?" She whispered. It was evident she had been crying, and Wade felt guilty for not being there for her, but sometimes she just needed to cry.
"I guess not..." Wade sighed, lying down next to her, and pulling her into a tight embrace.
"You shouldn't reject Peter, he loves you, and I know you love him... Don't let me get in the way of your happiness." She said, as she placed her head on his chest, slowly falling asleep.
The next morning Wade woke up alone, his head hurting and eyes stinging from the lack of sleep he had actually gotten. He slowly got up, grabbing his clothes and heading for a shower, when he spotted a note on his door. 'Gone to Stark tower, see you later -S x'
Wade groaned, skipping his shower and throwing on his clothes, before teleporting to the tower. He couldn't let Stevie go there alone, something bad could happen.
As he appeared in Stark's living room, there was a strange feeling in the room. No one was there, just Wade, but he could sense something bad was going to happen. Panic flowed through his whole body, as the door opened, a familiar face walking through. The familiar green of his cape, and long black hair, with the piercing blue eyes. "Loki!" Wade yelled, more in fear that anything. The last time he had seen Loki, he had tried to take over the world.
"Wade? What are you doing here?" The God asked, looking towards him.
"I'm looking for my friend, Stevie. Have you seen her?"
"I think she just left with Peter, they seem close." He shrugged, which only cause Wade to panic all the more. "What's going on?"
"I don't know... I honestly don't know what's going on." Wade pinched the top of his nose, and groaned, his head filling with thoughts and problems.
"You really think I'm going to take Wade from you? Oh please, if I wanted him I would have had him forty years ago." Stevie laughed, as she and Peter made their way out of the elevator a coffee in hand. "Speak of the devil." She said, noticing the man stood in front of them.
"You're... You two are... What the fuck?" Wade yelled, looking between them both. Peter rubbed his arm and smiled at the merc with a mouth.
"We're all good, Wade. Misunderstanding is all." Stevie smiled, and for once it was genuine. "Peter and I sorted things out, and we're all good now. He's actually a pretty cool guy."
"I told you they were on good terms." Loki smiled, looking up from his book.
"Loki, sorry I'm late, I didn't even realise the time, come on." Stevie suddenly said, as she looked at the man. Which only made Wade more confused. Loki had no idea what was going on, but went along with it anyways...
"Coming!" He smiled, as they both ran down the stairs into the lab, leaving them on their own.
"Erm... She... She planned this didn't she?" Wade asked, Peter rubbed the back of his neck and nodded. A slight blush appearing on his cheeks. "I mean... It's not going to work..." He said, but they could both sense the uncertainty in his voice.
"I know... But she insisted..." Peter said, sitting on the couch.
"Just kiss already!" Stevie yelled from down the stairs.
"Please, she's such a fangirl, I want to get rid of her." Loki begged, as they both began to laugh.
"How do they know each other?" Wade questioned, to which Peter could only respond with a shrug. "So erm... You... You love me?" He asked, which only made the situation more awkward. Peter nodded, his cheeks now a bright red, and a thin layer of sweat appearing on his forehead.
"Yeah... I'm sorry." He whispered, looking down to avoid Wade's gaze.
"No, no... Don't be sorry... I've waited so long for you to say that."
