I Am Cancer ((A Deadpool Story))
Chapter 3:-Files
Peter smiled after receiving Wade's text, and sat down to eat with Aunt May. The two of them spoke about what they had planned for the next few days, and what they were doing in work and school. Peter showed her some of his new photographs, and Aunt May gave feedback on each and every one.
Eventually it was time for them to go to bed, and so Peter helped Aunt May up the stairs and left her to go to bed. He quickly checked the time, seeing he still had an hour until he had to meet Wade, and decided to get a shower before getting changed.
Wade on the other hand, decided to get ready early. He threw on his Deadpool suit, stuffing some clothes in a bag, and throwing them on the roof for when he got back, and walked into the living room to find Al. "I'll be back later, and if I die, make sure you burn the magazines under my bed. If I don't die, don't go looking at the magazines under my bed." He said and left the house.
Wade walked down the road, checking his phone every so often, hoping he wouldn't be late. 'You know he doesn't care if you're late, he's probably hoping you cancel on him.'
"Shut up!" Wade said, a little too loudly this time. The voices were being pretty bad today, and for some reason they were both against him. Wade rounded the corner onto Peter's street just in time to meet him. He smiled as the light of Peter's bedroom came on, and teleported onto his roof with a thud, indicating to Peter he was there.
Wade sat down, crossing his legs, and waiting for the younger boy. 'He probably won't come.'
'He'll pretend he's not there, he obviously hates you.'
"Why are you both so against me today?" Wade questioned, as he heard footsteps across the roof.
'Oh look, he probably heard you talking to yourself, and thinks you're insane.'
I closed my eyes tight, not wanted to hear what he had to say, when he sat beside me. "You ready to go, or you want continue to stare at the sky?" Peter joked. Wade let out a breath that he was holding in, and looked over at the boy in the red and blue spandex suit.
"I'm ready to go, come on, there's somewhere I wanna check out." Wade said, and pulled Spidey up. "Hold tight, and remember to breath." He said, and suddenly they were in a warehouse, just outside of town.
Peter fell forward almost crashing into the boxes in front of them when Wade caught him. "Someone forgot to breath." Wade laughed, as Peter got his footing back.
'Probably because you forgot to take a shower.'
"Shush." Wade mumbled, and began to walk around. "Hey Spidey, over here!" He called, as he shifted through a couple of boxes.
"What d'ya find?" Parker asked, attempting to see over the many piles of boxes.
"Well he's defianetly been here. My file's here." Wade said, opening the file to find every detail of what happened to him written down. The familiar handwriting, scrawled over the pages. "I... I don't remember some of this... Why don't I remember it...?" Wade cried out as he scanned the pages.
There was test after test, and coma after coma, until eventually there was just a large stamp across the page. 'Failed.' "What does it mean by failed?" Parker asked, now stood behind the older man. Wade jumped at the sudden closeness of his friend, and shut the file as quickly as possible.
"It... It doesn't matter... I shouldn't have brought you here. I gotta go..." Wade panicked, and teleported the two of them back to Peter's roof, before disappearing again.
Peter sighed and sat down, crossing his legs beneath him and watched the stars, each one a different size, and shining slightly brighter than the other.
Wade on the other hand was back home, sitting on the couch with Al. "It's all here, everything, even thing's I didn't know happened." He complained, hitting his hand against the folder. "I thought I could just find him, kill him and it would all be okay, but now I need answers. Why would he put me through tests that weren't necessary?"
Al yawned, lying down across the couch. "Wade, it's three in the morning, go to bed. Figure it out with your new boytoy tomorrow." She complained. Wade just continued to ramble on though, not paying attention. He didn't mind if she wasn't listening he just wanted to talk, he needed to talk.
'She's not listening anymore.'
'You're lucky she's blind, she'd run away screaming by now if she weren't. She probably wouldn't even care about you anymore. You'd be out on the streets. Like you deserve to be.'
'No one cares about your problem with Ajax, they just want you to shut up. Something bad happened to you, move the fuck on.'
