Chapter 25:- Movies

Wade took Peter home after that, teleporting them into the living room of Stark Tower. Tony and Steve were sat on the couch, arguing over which movie was better Alice In Wonderland or Sweeney Todd, while Bucky and Pepper Potts were making bets on who would win the argument.

Wade sighed, looking between the group and Peter, groaning internally. 'Teleporting was not a good idea.'

'NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST, NOW HE'S GOING TO HAVE A MAJOR SENSORY OVERLOAD.'

"Guys!" Wade yelled, getting everyone's attention. Each of them fell silent, turning to look at the pair.

"How you doing, son?" Tony asked, looking at the boy. Peter didn't reply, just walked to the couch, sitting down and staring at the ground. Wade shrugged, sitting beside his friend, who curled into the man placing his legs over Wade's and head resting on his chest.

Wade held his close, a pain in his chest as he saw the sadness on Peter's face. Pepper placed a glass of water on the table for Peter, before sitting beside Tony, and taking his hand in hers. Steve and Bucky next to them. "Shall we watch another film?" Steve asked, hoping to break the awkward silence. Peter nodded his head, his eyes shut tight as his new father scanned through Netflix.

The six of them sat there, debating on what to watch, until they all agreed on Edward Scissorhands. Peter stayed curled up on Wade's lap throughout the film, slowly starting to fall asleep. Everyone else continued to share glaces, each of them telling the other to ask the oh so obvious question.

Wade watched, knowing what they were all thinking, and praying no one would ask. Until quiet snores started to fill the air. "So, Wade." Tony said, leaning forward. "What's going on with you and Peter?" He asked. Everyone looked at him waiting for an answer, their eyes wide.

"Nothing, why?" He asked, trying to stay calm.

'You know why, why did you just ask?'

'BECAUSE HE WAS TRYING TO PRETEND HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE ON ABOUT.'

'Oh. Never mind then.'

"Well erm... Just..." Tony stuttered. Wade just shrugged and looked at them all, his hood still covering his face.

"I'm just trying to be there for him is all. He's a good friend." He told them. "Anyways, I should actually get going, I have a job to do tomorrow. So where do you want him?"

Tony shook his head, picking the boy up from his lap and carrying him to one of the spare rooms. He stirred a little, but went back to sleep, as he dreamt of Wade. Tony could hear quiet mumbling and smiled at the thought of his new son in love. He didn't care if he was in love with Wade, he didn't care he was a mercenary, just that he would take care of him. He knew that he'd be crushed if Wade didn't return his feelings for him.

Wade went home, his mind swirling with thoughts. He collapsed onto the couch, his body feeling tired and heavy, and his eyes stinging. "Have fun realising what you can never have?" Al questioned. Wade just sighed, and rubbed his eyes, slowly sinking further into the couch cushions.

"Great fun, always love a good funeral." He joked, as the blind woman sat down. "Now, I need to do something that I haven't done in over a week. So I suggest you leave the room." Wade whispered in her ear. Al shook her head, standing up again and grabbing her cane.

"Just don't be moaning that innocent boys name again." She said, going to her room to lie down.
