Kail's POV
In my twenty five years in life, I had a fair share of beautiful women but they can't be compared to this woman who is currently in my threshold. Don't get me wrong, Hattusa is not lacking with beautiful women but this woman captivates me, not only by her beauty but her eyes, they show so much more. The intelligence in there makes me want to talk to her all day and unravel her thoughts. And she isn't like any other woman. If it were the others, they are already throwing themselves at me naked hoping that I could impregnate them so that they will have a higher status.
Now, seeing her like this, I can't help but feel a pang on my heart. I hate seeing her like this, vulnerable. Seeing her like this makes me promised to myself to not let her feel like this again. And I'll do everything in my power to keep that. She is special and despite everything, I found myself liking this brave, young woman. Ilbani looks at me disapprovingly.
In the past, I've only taken women to sleep with them but I've never had a concubine. I will only have one woman in my life. That woman will help me shoulder all the responsibilities that I will have once I ascend the throne. Ilbani agrees with my beliefs. Now, taking her in, means I am claiming her as mine and I am making her my concubine.
But he doesn't understand. The connection that I have with her, there is no way I would let her be when I know she needs help.
"Just rest for now. Everything will be alright. When the time comes, I'll send you back to your world. You could stay here until then. We will help you." I promised her. Although it hurts me to think that I'll send her back, I have to do it. If it means, she will always smile.
She smiled to me and said her thanks.
