Alexandria's POV
"Tito, it's fine now. You could leave me here. I think I can find my way around this forest." I turned to tito.
"But princess..."
"Please Tito. You have to return. If the prince returns, he will look for you."
"I'm sure the prince will look for you too princess. You are important to his highness. You don't have to go." Tito replied. Still trying to persuade me.
"I know Tito. But that's the more reason that I have to leave. Me and the prince can't have any further relationship. I am not right for him. This is for the best. Goodbye, Tito..."
I turned my back to him but each step I took away from Tito, away from the capital and most of all away from him, it's like there are weights on my heart. I shouldn't have felt this way towards him. It is too soon for me to fall for him. I shake my head. This is the right thing to do.'Kail, you are amazing. You manage to enter this heart of mine.'
I was taken out of my stupor when I heard a shout. My heart started beating fast when I recognized that voice.
'Tito!' I shouted in my mind. Is he attacked by bandits?? I knew it! He should't have accompanied me. If something happened to him, i wont be able to forgive myself.
When I arrived where I left Tito, I saw him being held captive by people who are dressed like bandits but based on their actions, I suspect their just pretending to be one. For what reason? I have a feeling I'll know the reason soon.
One of them pointed his sword to me. I can definitely defeat them but I can't risk Tito getting hurt. I bite my lips trying to think of a way to save him and myself. 'Tsk! I don't have any weapons with me. I'm really at a disadvantage.'
Knowing I can't do anything for now. I decided to ask their purpose. I relaxed my stance and look directly at the one pointing his sword to me. They seem taken aback by my actions.
In reality, I'm not afraid of them. My only worry is Tito's safety. He is too young to die. For me, ever since I turned eight, I knew that I won't live long. With my job, one of my feet is already on its grave. That's why it is not a big deal if I died but Tito has his life ahead of him. He needs to enjoy his life. My only regret if I died is that I won't be able to see Kail ever again.
Kail became the hope in my already hopeless world. He lightens up my world. And in the short amount of time that I stayed here, I became close to them.
"What do you want?" I asked them coldly.
They took a step back clearly scared by my actions.
"Come with us and we won't hurt the child." The one with his sword pointed at me answered.
"No princess! Don't worry about me. Just go." Tito shouted making the people holding him aggravated and smacked him.
"Tito." I took a step towards him but the sword stopped me from doing so. I glared at him. If looks can kill, he is already six feet under a long time ago.
"Let him go and I'll come with you." I told them but there is no way I will come with them without fighting. I just need them to let Tito go.
"Do you think of us as fools? We will only let the kid go when our master have you."
Master? Hmm.. So I'm right, they are not bandits.
Without any choice left, I let them tie my hands and lead me to wherever their master is.
The whole time, Tito was aking me to escape.
"No Tito. I was the one they needed. Not you. You should be the one leaving here safely not me. I promise Tito, I'll do my best to save you." I whispered to him making sure nobody except him heard it.
Tito looked at me with tears on his eyes. The fear is clearly seen on his eyes yet he still wants to protect me. He really is a good kid. Good people shouldn't suffer. They don't deserve it.
When we arrived on what looks like a castle, I noticed Tito became stiff.
"Why? What's wrong?" I asked him.
"This is queen Nakia's castle, princess." After hearing that, my brows furrowed.
What does the queen needs me for? She doesn't know me and from what I heard about her from Kail and the others, I'm sure she is up to no good.
They brought me into the underground dungeon and along the way, they took Tito to a different route. They tied me on a wall inside a cell and left me afterwards. I tried to loosen the ropes but to my dismay, they tied it too tight.
"Tsk!" I clicked my tongue.
Later on a woman wearing an elegant gown entered. She is beautiful but the evil glint on her eyes ruin her looks.
"Who are you? What do you want from me?" I struggled on the ropes. I can feel it biting on my skin.
"Who am I is not important. What do I want from you? I want your blood." She smirked.
"Blood?"
"Yes! Through your blood, I will be able to put the curse on the other princes and my son will become the crown prince."
Curse? Other princes? Is she referring to Kail and his brothers? No! I can't allow her to use me to harm Kail. But Tito? I'm sorry Kail but I have to save Tito first
"Just stay here for a while and tomorrow you will be executed." With that she made her way to the exit of the cellar.
I can free myself from here but doing so, I need to dislocate my hands first but that would be disadvantageous for me beacause I will have to fight them if I encounter them along the way and me not knowing the blueprint of this castle, I'll only run aimlessly around this castle.
'I guess, I should observe first on what will happen tomorrow. Then I'll make my escape plan. I promise you Tito, I'll bring you back to Kail's side.'
