You left me (3)

I moved in with Brian, he stayed a total of 2 weeks before he left again.

I fill my time with work, opening up a new parlour has taken up all my time. I get the odd text and call here and there from him but I moved back here to be with him.

He's worth it. But it's draining waiting for him to come home to me.

"You are absolutely glowing sweetheart" I turn around to see his mother Judy and father Dylan standing behind me at the supermarket.

I laughed after the shock of someone startling me.

"You think? I've been so tired, has Brian called you?" They shake their heads.

He hasn't called for the last week and it's making me worry.

My siblings come to visit me, we sold our parents house and since we sold the house I've been living with Brian for 3 months now.

"Sorry honey, he must be on some mission to keep him from messaging you" I nod my head smiling "Would you like to come over for dinner?" Dylan asks

"I would like that" I smile "I'll bring a salad"

"Awesome, I'll let the girls know"

I grab my groceries and head straight to the checkout, on my way there something out the corner of my eye catches my attention. There on the shelf happens to be a pregnancy test. I laugh awkwardly but keep walking.

Dinner was lovely, but for me it was lonely. I've been without Brian for a month now and a week of not hearing from him makes me wonder if he is coming back.

I didn't tell anyone I've missed my period and that's what I really needed Brian here with me for. The doctor had to calm my nerves a bit for me but once I saw the little peanut growing inside my belly I knew Brian needed to change his occupation quick or I was going to do this on my own.

My siblings were excited for me but they could hear the sadness in my voice "What's wrong?"

"I miss Brian"

"Julie, he'll be home soon just like dad we had to wait"

His sisters were so ecstatic for their younger brother, apparently they knew I was pregnant for a long time now and when the doctor said I was at the mark where I can start telling people, it was a shock to me that I was that far along.

"You must have been in the early stages when you came home for mum" I nod my head to my younger sister "Do you need any help? I can come stay with you for a while"

"I'm pregnant Helen, it doesn't mean I can't do anything" She chuckles "I can still do stuff"

She laughs harder making me feel angrier by the second

"Baby girl, you're getting flustered over nothing" I turn my head around so quick, I nearly fall to the ground in tears "Baby?" And that's what I do. I'm a mess on the floor as I cry my heart out for the one man I feared wouldn't come back to me

"Hey baby girl it's ok, I'm here now" He says trying to pull my face up to look at him. My hands find his tshirt and I cling to him like my life depends on it "Aww baby"

"It's hormones B" I hear Helen say "I'll let you tell him sissy, loves you bye!"

"Baby girl" I could hear the worried tone in his voice. I try to smile into his shirt but I can't, I just cry and cry "I'm here now"

"You... were gone f-for so long" Before he could even get a kiss, I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him close. I hear an 'oomph' come from his lips as I move his head into my neck "Don't leave me again, not now definitely not now"

"What's going on baby?" He takes my hands in his before he begins to wipe my tears. I take a hold of his hands and move them to my stomach where the small bump has been growing. He frowns for a second before I move his hands around a little bit. It must have sunk into him what I was doing because I see the realisation of the situation form in his eyes "Really?"

I nod my head. He gets up quickly and takes the phone from his pocket. I get up slowly confused at what he is doing before my eyes widen at his words

"I need an office job or training job at the office... I'm going to be a dad and my wife needs me"

I blink back when he hangs up and takes a knee in front of me

"I was planning on taking you out tonight after we have some welcome home sex and spending the day together but this is just the perfect opportunity to do this now, I've been in love with you the moment you snorted while you laughed at a joke I told you that wasn't even that funny, and I continue to love you with each day you grow with your business and how accomplished you become, the person you have become makes me fall head over heels for you, Julia will you marry me?"

I smile "About fucking time"
