"I didn't want to wake up. I was having a much better time asleep. And that's really sad. It was almost like a reverse nightmare, like when you wake up from a nightmare you're so relieved. I woke up into a nightmare."

- Ned Vizzini, It's Kind of a Funny Story

"Momma?" A young girl called out searching for her mom who was supposed to bring food for lunch. "Momma?" The girl called out again not hearing a call back from her mom. Their was silence and the young girl jumped at the sound of loud crash. She quickly ran trying to find the sound. Her small feet made little sound as she ran down the halls of the small house. "Momma?" That's when she saw something something that could never be devoured out of her thoughts. Her mom was sprawled out on the floor blood dripping from her arm and chest. The young girl saw what she learned was dangerous a gun and knife.

"Dinah?" The professor had called her out for quit some time now. Dinah quickly looked at her professor who had been standing in front of her looking down at her. "Tell me why you have been day dreaming for the past ten minutes while I had called on you to see if you knew the answer".

Dinah Jane had the habit of having deep daydreams it was a habit she had picked up. But the only day dreams she had was of her mom she lost and to many deadly thoughts. "I'm sorry um the answer is he was physically there but his mind hadn't really notice he was somewhere else. The veil was showing a different side of him but he didn't really see it until he looked in the mirror."

The professor was surprised that she had been reading the 'The Ministers Black Veil'. "Dinah I am impressed you daydream so much but you end up knowing the answers to be questions. Dinah cracked a smile and got ready to pack up. "Make sure to have a typed essay by next week answering the question on the board.

'Do you think crying is a sign of weakness' Dinah thought about this as she was laying on her bed. She turned on her phone and went to her Instagram. She liked a few photos and commented on pictures. After about an hour of lazily scrolling through the app she finally decided to start on homework and things she needed to get done before her room mate get back at night. Maggie was her name she tall and skinny. Had a few small tattoos and long brown hair she was of a Spanish decent. Maggie was a sophomore in college and majoring in psychology.

Dinah grabbed her notebook and sat on her bed spreading all of work out. The girl was never a person to talk to people Maggie was the only exception she has been through some things that have been similar to what Dinah has been going through. They would have late night convos talking about anything and everything.

The blonde had turned on her music on it started with Beyonce. Dinah loved Beyonce she wasn't able to go to her concert while they were in town. Beyonce had traveled quit a few times to California but Dinah wasn't able to go she always either had some sickness or she had no one to go with Maggie like Indie music.

"Why can't I stay here?"  the young girl said not understanding her mom was dead. The young girl started to cry. The Doctor gave her a small roll of stickers and they put her in a car. But where was her dad.

Crying can make you feel weak but it depends on the situation. You could cry of joy. Weakness means lacking of strength 'Weak'.

"Hey Mag" Dinah heard the door open and in came Maggie. "Hey D how was class". The blonde closed her computer and looked at the girl "Interesting I was writing part of my essay but I am still stunned by the question. Do you think crying is a sign of weakness?"

Maggie sat her stuff down and took off her jacket giving her a moment to think. She sat across from Dinah and gathered her thoughts. "Crying is part of our human emotional package, crying can be scientifically defined as the shedding of your tears in response to an emotional state. So if your in a physical fight you may cry because you feel weak but your being hurt your it may be weakness. But that's a good essay question." Dinah looked at the girl stunned at her answer. "I will take note of that thanks Mags".

That night Dinah thought about what Maggie said and also the question.

 Crying? Weakness? Emotion?
