Christina's POV

I proceeded to drag Niall through my backyard, and I can tell he was getting very anxious for the surprise. He was being all giddy, mumbling aloud about how he can't wait to see. I chuckled a bit and continued our small journey.

After a few minutes, we finally came to the place where I wanted him to see. It holds so many memories, I have never shown or told anyone before. It was just a special place between me and my dad. My dad told me to bring someone very special to me here.

"Here it is." I whispered, letting go of Niall's hand.

"It's really pretty." I heard him mutter.

Suddenly, I feel his hand intertwined back with mine. I blushed a bit, and looked around. Oh, you probably want to know where we are at. Well, in my backyard, if you keep walking, you will see a small forest. And once you take a couple of steps in there, you will see a little area of land, with all sorts of flowers, a lake, and a dock. There was a really nice view, and it gives me peace.

"My dad took me here," I told him, "he was the only one I spent time with here."

"Where's your dad?" he asked politely, "if you don't mind me asking."

I weakly grinned. "Nah, it's fine. My dad, he's at war. He hasn't come home in a while, so I haven't seen him. I really miss him."

A few tears fall from my eyes, but I feel a thumb wipe them away. I look up to see Niall very close to me, a little on his face. "Hey, it's okay. And I'm very sorry."

"Thanks. I'm sorry for just crying like a big baby." I laugh a little.

"You're not a baby. It's okay to cry," he assures me, "and my dad may not be at war, but I haven't really seen him in a while. I miss his fatherly advice."

I smile. "My dad and I were very close."

"Mine too. Whenever I had girl troubles, he would help me. I'm very..shy with girls." he admitted.

"Aw, that's cute." I say truthfully.

"So tell me about yourself." he asks, curiosity in his eyes.

"Well, my name is Christina Rose Layford, you know my mom and dad, I only had one or two boyfriends, I really want to fall in love, sorry if that's cheesy, I don't take advantage of anything, I'm very appreciative. My dream is to be an artist, but my mom is making me become a singer." I told him.

"That's nice, but I think you should live your dream." He says.

"Thanks, but to my mother, that is not apparently not my dream." I sighed.

"Well I don't think you should be perfect for her, because you already are." he says, and I blush at his words.

"Thanks," I take a step closer to him, "you want to know another one of my dreams?"

"What is it?" he asked, stepping closer to me.

"I want the whole cliche love life." I whispered, but it was audible for him to hear it.

"Me too." he agrees.

He breath fans across my lips, and I could smell the mint of it. His arms are now wrapped around my waist, and starts leaning in. Oh my gosh, he's going to kiss me.

Just as his lips was about to touch mine, I heard a familiar voice shout at us, an annoying one in fact. "Hey guys!"

We turn to see Harry, lightly smirking at us. "We have to get to work, or we'll be late!"

Damn you Harry, Niall and I would have kissed if it weren't for you! Now I hate Harry just a little more. And now he knows where my secret place is, just great!

We reluctantly started walking back, hand in hand. I continued to shoot daggers in Harry's head, whom was standing in front of us. Maybe it would actually burn a whole through his thick skull.

Niall's POV

As we made it back to the house, Harry was occasionally glaring at me. He has no right though! He's the one whose trying to get in Christina's pants, while I'm being a gentleman to her! He just wants every girl to himself, which is extremely unfair.

Once we came inside, I checked the time. Oi! We have three hours left to get to work, which is just enough time! Harry is a total bastard, a life ruiner. Christina rolled her eyes, smiled at me, and ran to her room.

I was about to go to my room, but Harry's voice stopped me. "Hey, I want to talk to you."

"What do you want?" I asked, very annoyed and pissed off with him.

"I want you to know, stay away from Christina." he snarled.

"Why?" I snarled right back.

"She's mine." he crosses his arms.

"You don't own her." I roll my eyes.

"I called dibs on her." he retaliates.

"You can't objectify women, that's rude." I spat.

"Please, I know you just want to get in her pants as well as I do." he chuckled bitterly.

"No!" I shout at him, "I want to be polite with her, actually be the one she loves."

"I'm going to get her first, and I could bet on it." he challenges.

"I'm not betting on anything, especially on winning Christina's heart." I shake my head in disgust.

"Scaredy cat." he laughs.

"No, I'm just a gentlemen, unlike you." I sighed.

"I can win her heart first." he proceeds to push me.

"Please, you'll just break it right after you get what you want." I look away from him.

"I just want to satisfy my needs, Niall." he says with no sincerity at all.

"You're disgusting." I glare at him.

"At least I get the girls." ouch. That one hurt. A lot.

Tears filled my eyes. I heard a familiar voice, going towards Harry. "You're a sick, mean man."

I look to see Christina, as she stands by my side. Harry quivers. "C-Christina.."

"Save it," she turns to me, "c'mon Niall."

She takes my hands a leads the way, once again. I can feel Harry shooting daggers in my head, but I don't care. After a couple of seconds, we enter Christina's room.

"Nice room," I tell her, "and I'm sorry about Harry."

"Nah it's fine, you can't help the way that he is," she laughed, "and thanks for being a gentleman."

I smiled. "I just like to respect girls."

"It seemed like you looked sad when Harry said, um, that last part." she mumbled shyly.

I sighed. "He said that he got all the girls. That really stung. All my life I had girl troubles, as I said my dad helped me, but he just had to throw that in my face."

I hadn't realized I was crying until I felt a tear fall from my eyes. I also felt a thumb wipe it away, and I look to see Christina lightly smiling at me. "You're a really good guy, it hurts to see you cry."

I grinned. "Thanks. You're beautiful."

Of course I had to blurt out the last part. She blushed, "Thank you."

"No really, you're beautiful. Not 'hot' which is kinda disrespectful, but beautiful, which is way better." I added.

Suddenly I felt a pair of lips against my cheek. She..kissed my cheek. And it gave me extreme butterflies. I smile widely at her, and she did the same.

"You're an awesome guy," she said, "unlike Harry. And what's up with him?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Harry..needs a whole lot of explaining. Like why he's such a womanizer?" she chuckled a bit.

"Oh, I don't know if it's in my place to tell you," I spoke, "but if you really want to know-"

I was cut off by the sound of her phone ringing. She put up her finger signaling me that she'd be quick, and answered her phone, leaving the room. I sat on the bed, and after a couple of minutes, she reentered the room.

"Everything okay?" I ask her, and see that a huge smile is plastered on her face.

"Yup!" she cheers, "it was my mom, she said we have a day off today!"

"Awesome," I fist pump, "and you want to know about Harry?"

"That'd be nice." she laughed.

I looked her in the eye, and nodded. "Okay, it started with a girl named Valerie."

Hola! It's Sunday, but I don't have school tomorrow due to the holidays! So it's fine! But last night while I was sleeping, it was so fudging hot! And it's winter! My beloved brother turned on the heat all the way, that's why. Even though I literally had my face against the fan, I was sweating. Ugh, lol. Keep reading, vote, and fan! Thank you! xx
