In Alania there are many races some stronger than others, but there is one race that has the greatest strength. The hunters of Alania, wolves. Wolves have a special ability that let's them take on two forms a human and a wolf. The wolf tribe is a special tribe that was a protected area for them to live. The reason why it was protected was because they were at war with another tribe the cougars. A long time ago the cougars attacked the tribe and destroyed almost the entire tribe killing both the chief and his wife. But not their child, a small pure white wolf with a scar over her right eye. Scarlett.

"Terra! Auntie Terra!" The young chief yells looking for her aunt. Today was her first hunting trip. "I'm right here Scarlett." Her aunt says calmly. Terra was a Mexican wolf with her coat consisting of many shades of brown with a golden collar around her neck. "Come on! Let's go!" Scarlett says joyfully. "Calm down, it's just a hunting trip." Terra says trying to calm the hyper wolf down. "Exactly! I want to be the best hunter in all of the world! Better than Dad!" Scarlett says chasing her tail. "Well, you certainly have big dreams for a 12 year old pup. But your parents did tell me to watch over you. So you have to stay clam or else the deer might run away from you." Terra says lowering herself down to Scarlett's height. "Now come on. We don't want to miss our chance no do we?" Terra says as her and Scarlett leave and go into the hunting grounds.

"Like this Auntie Terra?" Scarlett whispers. Terra was showing her how to get into a hunting position. Terra nods as Scarlett then jumps through a bush landing on top of o small rabbit and quickly putting her jaw around it's neck before it could escape. "Good job Scarlett. That was your best one yet." Terra says so proud of her. "Maybe next I can show you how to take down a big elk?" Terra asks "Oh yes yes yes yes yes. Please." Scarlett says jumping up and down. Terra chuckles "Ok follow me I think I saw one just a bit ago. Let's see if we can track it." Terra says as her and Scarlett start to track the elf. After about 30 minutes Terra stops dead in her tracks as her eyes widen. "Something isn't right."

"Auntie Terra?" Scarlett asks worried. Terra quickly hides her and Scarlett behind a large tree that had fallen. "Scarlett I need you to start running towards the tribe."Terra says seriously. "What i-is someone there..."Scarlett says now scared. "I.....I don't know." Terra responds. Just then a loud growl can out of now where. It sounded inhuman, as if that it could make your ears bleed. It was close. "Scarlett go!" Terra said. As both of them started to run. But it caught up to them, jumping in front of them. Scarlett backed away terrified as Terra stepped in front protecting her but she was also scared of the creature. 

It was like a black bear only 5 ft bigger with a strange black mist coming off it. Its mouth dripping some black acid like substance, and its eyes a glowing deep purple that watched your every move. And it's claws, sharp as sword with what looked like blood splattered over them. It had shards of purple crystals piercing its shoulder and knees.

Terra growled defensively. "Scarlett HIDE NOW!" Terra yelled. as the beast attacked Terra but she luckily  jumped out of the way and jumped toward the creature's neck. Scarlett hid behind a tree watching her Aunt try to defend them. Terra latched her jaw to its neck but the creature shook violently making her jump off. Black tar dipped where she attacked it. She jumped at it again but before she could touch it, it swung it claw and her. As she was thrown into a tree, breaking her spine there was three large cuts where the beast had struck her. She was painting trying to get air, her blood was spilling out of her body unable to move herself.

Scarlett watched in shock, her tears were now uncontrollable. The rage gathered up inside of her until she couldn't contain it. Small pebbles started to levitate from the ground as a large tree was then torn out of earth and thrown at the creature, killing it in one fateful blow. Once it was dead Scarlett calmed down. "Did I.......I do that...." Scarlett said but she snapped out of her thoughts and ran to Terra. "Auntie Terra! .......Terra." Scarlett said turning into her human form. Tears streamed down form her bright green eyes. She hung her head low letting her brown hair cover her face. 

"Sc-carlett?" Terra coughed blood coming from her mouth."Terra!" Scarlett said in shock "Its ok just hung in there." She said worried. "I"m....sorry I....never told you." Terra says coughing. "W-what do you mean...." Scarlett asks. "Your a very special mage. *cough* One ab-ble to have many powers."Terra says coughing more blood. "Auntie Terra....." Scarlett says tears streaming down her face. "Take my collar" Terra says. "What...why?" Scarlett asks her leaning closer. "I.....don't have much longer.....call it...a gift."Terra says smiling as her eyes slowly shut. "Terra....Terra! Terra!" Scarlett repeated over and over shaking Terra's body.

"Hey don't worry. She lived a good life." Alex said as he put on hand on Scarlett's shoulder. Alex was the Co commander of the wolf tribe, one rank below Terra. Scarlett sat on a log next to Alex holding Terra's collar. "What happens now?" She asked looking at Alex her eyes bloodshot from crying. "Well since Terra looked over the village in your parents place, I guess now I have to take her place."He says sighing. Him and Terra were really close. "No." Scarlett replied. Alex looked at her in confusion. "I'm ready. I want to take my father's place as chief." She finished. "Scarlett you're only 12-" "I don't care. It's my role and I said I'm ready." Scarlett said looking at him seriously. He sighs "Well then what's your first order, Chief?" Scarlett stands up and puts Terra's collar around her neck. "Terra said that I was a special mage. A powerful one. One that could make a difference in this world. I want to get back at whatever did this." She pauses. 

"Teach me how to fight"
