You made your way back to your original home.
The way the pavement curved after every corner, the way the houses would neighbour each other in a harmonic atmosphere, the way where your feet slightly grazes the concrete ground flooded your brain with memories.
You thought about the hardships of just barely catching the bus that always came early, the times where you would only have time to take a slice of bread to eat as you slept passed the alarm time. Little things like this made you think about the times you lived in the house that was before your eyes.
You took a deep breath before ringing the 3 beep door bell. You heard footsteps coming from upstairs heading down the staircase. Someone opened the door and it revealed a man in casual clothing.
You stared into each other's eyes for a brief moment.
"What are you doing here Y/N?" Your dad says, furrowing his eyebrows.
"I need to talk to you." You said showing no emotion.
"I thought I told you to stay away from my family." He stood firm.
You gritted your teeth hearing the phrase 'Stay away from my family'.
"And I thought you promised to never leave me alone." You glared at him.
His expression changed into a saddened one.
"Come in..." He opened the door for you and you took no time to waste but to head inside.
You head towards the living room.
"May I?" Your voice was dull.
He nodded.
You sat down on the sofa. Its backrest was just right making you too comfortable for the upcoming talk.
"So how's your wife?" You asked.
"She's your mothe-" He was about to say but realised he ditched you to be with 'his family'. "She's... Doing fine." He replied.
You slightly nodded your head as you took your time to scan the room.
"So this conversation regards my friend." You eyed him.
He gulped.
"I heard he tried to negotiate with you that your wife is a backstabber." He looked at you with eyes filled with curiosity as to what you might say next. "To which I won't have my say."
He looked back down on the floor.
"Apparently he decided not to budge until you admit that your wife had done something wrong. His persistence grew on you, that resulted in him getting injuries that fatal to the point of him going to the hospital." You looked at his expression change from one to another.
"Ditching me was one thing." You stared at him. "But hurting my friend is another." You spat out each word.
"What has it got to do with you?" He managed to say.
"A lot. He stood by my side and backed me up, yet you still trust your beloved partner despite what my friend was saying is true."
He looked up with eyes filled with horror.
He smiled.
You were disgusted that his smile popped up on his face regarding a serious situation.
"Now you're spouting out bullshit as well?" He scoffed.
You were taken back by his language he used against you. You clench your fist.
"Excuse me?" You furrowed your eyebrows.
