Chapter 24 Lisa: looking in the mirror I became dizzy.
Lena: Lisa you shouldn't be out of bed yet.
Lisa: holding most of my weight Lena helped carry me to the bed. Looking at her face for answers I see a bruise covering her right cheek. Trying to pull my self into a sitting position I ask what happened? Where are we?
Lena: you don't remember?
Lisa: I looked at Lena with a blank stare.If I remember why would I be freaking out this much. Last I remember was the door being broken down.
Lena: Lisa that was three days ago.
Lisa: what ? You could see the shock on my face. I've been out for three days?
Lena: no? You were awake..... I stopped talking. Maybe there was a reason she couldn't remember. She's lucky. When she remembers she won't be the same. From where I was standing I could see Mason walking towards the room. I glared at him hard. Holding my unkind words to myself.I crawled into the bed with Lisa pulling her into my arms. Making it know if he touched her again I would kill him. Walking in he looked weak. After what he did. Weak is all he is and ever will be.
Mason: Lisa your awake. How are you feeling?
Lisa: what did you do? What happened? I ask while touching my tender neck.
Mason: ( looking at Lena I ask) she doesn't remember?
Lena: yes and for now it stays that way. Get out now . And with those words Mason turns and leaves.
Lisa I refused to look at Lena . What changed to make Mason so fragile and Lena so angry.
