Ah, yes, something serious - more than that, but depressing™.

So, yet again I wrote a little something in accordance to some fanart I found online, shown above (not mine, only the fic is). It's not technically a "story" per say, being a oneshot, but I expectedly put some feels in it so prepare :^)

Oh, and small SPOILERS are present! Come back after watching episode 9 of the anime Osomatsu-san to clarify any misunderstandings! Also, I've included several points that have been interpreted from the actual episode, "show not tell" kinda stuff (Homura's background/career, her wristband in final frame, etc). For clarifications, read discussions on MAL or something. And at the same time, I included some stuff not from the show, yet added for plot I guess (you'll know when you get to it).

One last thing - this girl's name has never been officially stated, leaving fan-based nicknames. For this story, I will be sticking with "Homerun" and "Homura". And if you're not familiar with this character, again, refer to episode nine if you don't want spoils.

Okay, enjoy!

"Hup, hup, hup, HEY! Yes, this is Jyushimatsu!"

After sprinting up to the rotary telephone and performing a backflip, the fifth Matsuno sibling answers the call in his typically cheerful tone. The soft voice on the other line giggles a bit, and Jyushimatsu immediately recognizes the caller. Eyes lighting up, he shouts his catchphrase, slightly louder than usual, "King-sized game-winning HOMERUN!!!"

Jyushimatsu's downright lack of an indoor voice is nothing unusual to the rest of the Matsunos, in fact they'd be concerned if he spoke normally. And considering he's a quirky oddball, shouting peculiar phrases like this isn't rare, especially those baseball-related. No one else in the house bothers to question or check on Jyushimatsu because  of this, except Ichimatsu, who pokes his head into the hallway to make sure the guy didn't break anything with that backflip he did a few seconds ago. Ichimatsu, finding that everything is in place, starts to leave when he notices that Jyushimatsu is more hyper than usual, with his bright eyes and sporadic, rapid nodding. Somehow, just maybe, he notes, his brother's usual smile is even wider today.

After a few minutes of listening on the phone, Jyushimatsu suddenly slams the phone back onto the receiver and zooms past a startled Ichimatsu, returning in his formal sky-blue blazer and gray pants. Then, in a disturbingly calm manner, he proceeds to exit the house, calling out to the others that he's leaving. No quirky phrases, no baseball jests, just a, "I'll be back". Out of curiosity and mild concern, the fourth sibling follows his brother a few yards behind, like a purple wandering cat.

Jyushimatsu stops after walking a few blocks and sits down on a wooden bench, right in front of the park, where he'd normally "practice baseball", swinging around a bat with Ichimatsu tied to it as weight. The same brother is now spying on him from a bush nearby with growing suspicion. Perhaps he's meeting with someone, he thinks, which only arises more questions within him. The last time his younger brother went on a date was...
