Chapter 6

Damon's P.O.V

'Damon what the hell!?' Lily pushed me away, tripped up over the rug and fell on her bum. I walk over to her to help her up but she moved away kicking her legs.

'Lily' my voice broke, 'Im.. I'm so sorry' her face looked like she had just seen a ghost.

'Its just I've wanted to kiss you for so long and now I know you...' I trailed off.

'You can say the word, its okay. It won't hurt me any more'

'Since you got ill' I don't want to say the word. 'I wanted to show you how I feel about you'

'And decided to kiss my and surprise me instead of just telling me.' She hissed.

She stood up and unzipped her coat then crossed her arms with a look of disappointment on her perfect face. Her light blue eyes looking into mine, her lips parted slightly and her blond hair fell down over her shoulders. I could hear her heavy breaths of worry. I couldn't talk.

'Well?' she asked.

'What else do you want me to say Lily! I've told you how I feel about you. what else do you want to know?' I was getting louder with each word.

'Who long? Does Rebecca know? Does anyone know? Why me? I thought we were only friends?' She spoke fast and I replied straight away.

'Since the summer we all went camping together. Yes she does and yes Becca told Jay, I don't know why. I asked her not to but when he saw me next time I swear to god he was going to kill me because I love his little sister. And I never said I only wanted to be friends. That's what you thought.' her jaw was just hanging with shock. 'Well, say something. I told you what you wanted to know.' I said.

'You... you love me? Or are you just saying that?' she whisperd. Shit I didn't mean to tell her. The look on my face must of said yes because she stood up and ran to her room. I went to see if she was OK but when I got to her room I hurd muffled crying.

'Lily' I said softly then slid down her door and fell to the floor.

I think it was about 20 minutes befor she came out her room and spoke to me. I stood up straight away and looked at her sad face.

'So' was all she said.

'Why were you crying?' I asked.

'I just never thought that I'd have cancer and then my best friend likes me more.' she was crying and I didn't know what to do. If I should hug her or if I should leave her. I didn't have the choice she leaned in to me and put her arms around me so I pulled her closer so she new she was safe. At that very moment there was a knock at the door.

'Ill get it' I said.

'No I will.' she opened the door and the person I really didn't want to see was stood there.

'Owen? How do you know where I live?' she asked.

'You told me, remember'

'I never told you the number house or the street just that I lived near the shop.' she looked back at me then beck to him. 'I think its best that you go and I'll talk to you in maths and you can explain yourself for everything you have done today.'

He looked behind her and saw me stood with me fists clenched.

'OK Lily, guess ill see you later' he said through his teeth.

'Yeah bye Owen' Lily waved bye and shut the door.

'How the hell did he know where you lived and why did he show up at you door. You dont even know him Lil.' I said with anger in my voice.

'I never told him where exactly I lived and I do know him. I've gotten to know Hi rather well over the past week.' Her voice raising.

'A week? You told him where you lived after knowing him a week? You have got to be kidding me Lily.'

'No Damon I'm not and you talk to me like that.'

'Lily I'm looking out for you.'

'I'd like you to leave Damon' she opened the door and looked at me.

'What? Why?'

'Please. Just go' she said so quietly.

I grabbed my bag and left then slammed the door behind me.

I've messed everything up between us; I know I have no chance with her now.

I got half way home when I hurd someone call me name. I turned around and saw Owen walking up to me.

'What did you do to her?' He look angry.

'What? To who, Lily?' I was confused.

'Yes to Lily. When I opened the door she had been crying. And look who was stood there behind her not looking to happy.'

'Look Owen you have the wrong idea' I told him. 'Why do you want to know. You don't even know her that well.' I said 'its been a week.'

'Oh I know her better then you think. Like she had an older brother and her best friends Rebecca is dating him' my jaw just dropped. 'Yeah she told me.'

'Everything?' I asked.

'Yeah everything.' I don't think so I thought to myself.

'Well I have to go, you have fun' I walked off.

'Oyy! If I find out you hurt her in any way you will pay' he shouted. I just kept walking.

I need to ask her about this.
