Chapter 5

Two halves make a whole

The whole 'ripped photo' thing was nagging in the back of my mind all week. It bothered me so much that on Sunday I went to ask Sparkles* about it. "Sparks" I started "do you happen to have an old photograph of Tobo, possibly ripped?" "Uh, yeah I do. Why?" The ginger said "He has the other half" upon my words Sparkles* leapt towards the drawers and he started rummaging "Found it!" He said and waved a picture up in the air before handing it to me. It was Tobo, a younger Tobo, and the youth was pictured sitting and singing, looking very happy. I don't usually believe in coincidences but I have to admit it was pretty weird when a older Tobo walked into the studio and asked us what we where doing "Tobo can I have your photo of Sparks?" I asked "Sure" he said and fished it out of his pocket. Upon handing it to me I laid out both prices on the desk and slowly slid them together "A perfect match" Sparkles* said hoarsely "I thought I'd just lost it. Who knew it was here all along" Tobo said as I handed back each person their respective half of the picture "There you are then" I said "You always had a peice of each other with you. That sounded better in my head"

"Are you going to tell us who he is now!?" Alan pleaded at lunch the next day. Him, Tony, Mickey and Owen where all listening intently "Fine. Fine. Fine." I said and set down my food "His names Tobias Jupitter but prefers to be called Tobo. I heard him playing an Area 11 song in the courtyard. He's homeless and lives on the streets so I invited him to stay at my house for a bit. It turns out that he met Sparkles* when they where both living on the streets and has a strong attachment to him. There is that enough info for you?!" I finished. "He met Sparkles*" Tony said in surprise "I didn't know Sparks used to live on the streets" Mickey commented "He probably doesn't like to talk about it" Owen retorted "Quite interesting" Alan said in soft undertones. I mulled over my explanation while my friends had an argument on whether Sparkles* liked to talk about living on the streets or not, I of course knew the answer and wasn't in any mood to divulge it.

I heard voices coming from the studio when I was in my room editing a new series, it sounded like Sparkles* and Dad having an argument. I creaked open my door to let the voices seep in, someone had carelessly left the door to the studio open and I poked my out and looked down the hall to see a few other heads protruding from offices, and about four where listening from the common room. The voices got louder "We-I can't just chuck him out on the streets again!" Sparkles* shouted "He might still have parents, and if he does it's not legal!" Dad shouted back, I knew by the tone of his voice that he was immensely angry "What's going on?" I mouthed to Paul's disembodied head, Paul just shrugged and retreated into his room. "I need to do this!" Sparkles* shouts had turned to yells and I saw him leave to studio and head for the exit and leave the building, slamming the big doors behind him. "Shit!" Dad's curse accompanied the slamming door and I watched as he left the studio and went to his office, shutting the door louder than he should have. My mind raced as I sat back down at my desk, what was illegal? Where they talking about Tobo? Hopefully I'd find out soon.

I hope you like this chapter!
