Chapter 10
Never trust a Scotsman
I was quiet all through school the next day, just thinking. I think the only time I did talk was when I introduced Ryan, Ellie and Crissy to the others at lunch. "Something wrong?" Nifer asked me as I walked her home "No. Just thinking" I said, which was the truth "What about?" she said "Stuff" I said, not helping one bit "Is it about Sjin?" "What why would it be about Paul?" I said, surprised "Well Two Soups told me that you where going to his wedding..." I mentally punched myself, I had forgotten I had told Tony about the wedding "Never trust a Scotsman" I muttered before responding to her "No. It's not about Paul....it's about Tobo but I don't want to talk about it" "I'm sorry to hear that" Nifer said and we continued on to her house in silence.
Owen wasn't hanging with us anymore. This random thought crossed my mind whilst I was setting up cameras in the common room to film Yognews. But is was true: Owen no longer hung out with us. He didn't record or game with us, and he was hanging around with a bunch of muscly jocks who's girlfriends where all Jesse's best buddies. "Funny." I said out loud "What's funny" Kim asked as she entered the room "Oh, just how people grow apart" I said as I slid the last camera onto its corresponding tri-pod. We filmed Yognews and there was a ton of outtakes and bloopers because Turps started to laugh a lot which then caused me and Kim to crack up, it was always great fun filming with him. In the end we got the footage we needed and I downloaded all of it onto my computer, as it was now (and had been for awhile) my duty, along with a couple others, to film, edit, render and upload all Yognews and live action content onto the main Yogscast channel, but I didn't mind at all.
"Mum?" I said and she turned around in her office chair "Yeah Lance?" "Is Sparkles* in today?" "No Lance he isn't, he went out with Tobo somewhere" "Oh" I said and left her room. As I passed my dad's office I heard the familiar sounds of him pacing, always a bad sign. I glanced in for a moment and saw that he looked a bad way, his hair was messed up, his clothes looked as thought he had been in a windstorm and his glasses where missing, and even worse sign. I sighed and went to the server room to think. It may be loud but that means that no one can hear me.
Back at home I lay back on my bed and contemplated Owen. It didn't take very long before I was interrupted by my mobile letting off a few tones before I answered it "Hello" I said and Alan answered back "Hi Lance, I was just wondering if you wanted to come over to my house on Friday. My dad'll be out of town and I have all the seasons of QI on the telly." "Yeah, sure. Sounds fun" I said "Great!" Alan said before saying bye and hanging up. An all night QI marathon, always a brilliant way to spend a Friday night.
This is sort of a short chapter but don't worry, the next one will be filled with excitement!
If you don't know what QI is go and watch it now because it's amazing :)
