"Everyone get to the Vault now!!" Janice yelled through out the room with the families. Everyone quickly left and in less than a minute everyone was gone and our soldiers were outside waiting to fight. I went up to Janice who was grabbing her bow and cloak, "How do you know he's gonna attack?"
She stopped and stayed quiet, I did the same and we were both able to hear some sort of sound, we walked outside and the sound was loud marching in the distance. "Is it me or is their army bigger now?" I asked drawing my sword.
"Yea it has grown," she drew back he bow but let go of it quickly from getting a spike of pain in her shoulder since she hasn't healed yet.
"Janice, you're still weak, back down for this one," she dropped the bow and held her arm from the pain trying to suck it in. "I'm fine, it's not as bad as before.""Janice you've been fighting for twenty years, sitting out for one battle isn't bad, if anything you deserve it since you've helped everyone." I said picking up her bow, "Janice go up to your room and get some rest, we'll be fine," she stayed quiet and left into the building and headed upstairs.
I spread my wings and flew ahead our army to get a head start, as I got halfway I thought, Where is Torgar, and how did their base know I was there?
I shook my head and glided down just in front of the army with Katrina and Tracy in front, "Hey! I thought you guys were with the others in the vault?" I shouted trying to stay above the ground and not crash.
"We thought we might help for a change, is there a problem?" Katrina said shooting out fire from behind to run faster. I shook my head and smiled, "No, not at all. We could use the extra help." I said, it was true since Janice had to sit down for this one.
All three of us went in the air while I flew, Katrina rocketed herself up, and Tracy froze the water in the air to step on so we can get a boost and start hitting hard.
*A few minutes later
After taking out a few dozen of them we noticed they didn't really fight back like it was an actual battle. I found myself surrounded in a circle with Katrina and Tracy, "Something doesn't seem right." I said to them keeping an eye on the oppressors waiting for them to make a move.
"Yeah we know, it doesn't seem like they're trying." Tracy said waving her hand creating ice crystals, right before the oppressors came at us a loud war horn echoed through the battlefield.
The oppressors looked up in the sky and looked at us with a grin and every single one of them retreated passing by us and headed back without even trying to fight back. We all stood their in confusion, I quickly put my sword in my holder next to my waist and faced Katrina and Tracy. "You two head back to the base and check if everyone in the vault is safe."
They nodded their heads and ran back gaining speed and jumped in the air flying back to the base. Those of us who stayed all cleaned up and checked on the injured and bandaged them up, it wasn't too bad. The worst injuries were just some scars on the back which weren't that deep to begin with.
I felt very uneasy and worried, my heart was beating as we approached the gates into the base. Katrina was waiting for me at the entrance. "Is everyone alright?" I asked in high hopes.
She nodded her head but looked worried still which made me feel worse, "Everyone in the vault is fine." I let out a sigh of relief when she then said, "But you might want to come and see this..."
She took me to the room where all the prisoners were and Janice's blueprints and maps with Tracy in the hallway waiting for me. The door was unhinged from the wall and several feet away from the entrance, as I went inside every cell door was open with every oppressor gone.
