Hey guise. ^^ So I read Bai's chapter & she read me a short story she wrote last night and she's totally passing me up in the writing department. That used to be my forte but apparently she took over. That's coo though, I could tell you anything about world history. Beat that Bai! :P Anyways, I always get the best inspiration with Ed Sheeran so guess who's blasting? Enjoy you guys! xx

I walked in the same café and let the strong scent of coffee and wafers waft past me. Oliver sat at a middle table and was leaning over his phone, his fingers twitching over the screen. Not meaning to, I starred a bit too long. A man bumped me from behind, bringing me back to my senses.

"Excuse me, Sir, but is this seat taken?" I casually asked as I flitted over to his table.

"Why no, miss. I was just hoping this really gorgeous girl would come join me for lunch and apparently, my prayers were answered." I blushed involuntarily and sat down. "It is truly amazing what God can do for us, isn't it?"

I looked at Oliver with admiration. "Well yes it is." I giggled a bit, feeling a sense of enlightenment. Oliver and I hadn't talked about religion the previous time we had met up but now I realized he was like me. At least a little bit; knowing that God is great and that he is number one. "You sure are something else, Oliver. I don't think I've ever met anyone like you in New York."

"You're something else, Olivia." He starred at me for awhile until a middle-aged woman came over to take our coffee orders. When she departed Oliver turned his attention back to me. "You know, I'm getting a little tired of all this coffee. What do you say we grab a bite to eat tonight? At a real restaurant? Like a ... first date, maybe?" I blushed a bit more and hoped he couldn't tell.

"I'd love to Oliver." I replied.

Shortly after Oliver received a text and abruptly stood up.

"I'm really sorry Olivia but I think I need to go now... I have to go take care of some stuff." And with that he lightly walked away, shoving through the doors, leaving me with the bill and wondering what had just happened.

That night I was waiting on a text from Oliver about dinner and weather or not it was still going to happen. I walked around my room and listened to music, growing increasingly frustrated with what had happened earlier. Did I say the wrong thing? Did I turn out to be someone he didn't like? Finally I heard my phone go off.

Oliver: "Hey sorry about earlier, I forgot that I hadn't fed my lizard. Had to go get crickets. Dinner?"

I read the text bewildered. Was that really the excuse he was using? I couldn't stand people who lied to me. At the end though I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Me: "Sure.. where do you want to go?"
