Andie woke up one day splayed out across the dining room carpet with seven different cups of coffee next to her as she wondered when she would want to return back to school. She mentally missed school but physically her body was adapting to the comfort of laying around the house doing nothing even though she knew it was wrong and bad for her health.

She took a sip from one of the cups on her right side which was a completely black cup of coffee as she stuck her tongue out shivering at the bitter taste but ended up taking another sip before doing the same thing again.

Andie missed walking the same route to school while passing by that crossing guard and stepping into that one big puddle which most people wanted to avoid however she jumped into it with delight while wearing her thick combat boots. She although did not miss the workload and lectures from teachers or the crowded hallways of students that made her cringe as her anxiety would rise seeing the bodies packed together pushing in their own direction like sardines.

Although one girl always crossed Andie's mind unintentionally and would always appear at the back of Andie's brain.

Her name was Jade.

She had beautiful green eyes and her hair was a dark crow black. It was her eyes that Andie thought made Jade special although Andie could think of a thousand more things that made her special.

To Andie, Jade was perfect, her idol of loving and caring. From day one Andie was infatuated with Jade and it scared her deeply because she did not know why. Jade was all that was wrapped around Andie's mind when she decided to detach her rump from the carpet and decided it was time to return back to school.

Andie decided to return back in style while she still had the chance of catching Jade's attention. She tumbled through her room as it was held high with overdue books, mountains of clothes, and other trinkets that had made its way into her room. She managed to reach her closet without breaking a leg and pulled out the perfect combo of black jeans, a random shirt, and a grey cardigan. Brushing her hands through her short hair and not giving a care, she started walking the blocks to school that awaited her.

As she entered through the main doors the hallways were silent and yet the color of posters astonished Andie making her double think this situation and to come up with a good reason why she should not leave right now. The school was always too happy for her with its school spirit and assemblies that she always skipped. In fact, she had never gone to any school events because they were dull, boring and most all of Jade didn't go.

But her reason came too soon as a short girl with black hair covering her face wearing all black and a cute little adventure time beanie just exited a room and was walking straight down the hall towards Andie.

Andie's eyes bulged as she tried to act as cool as a cucumber but miserably failed as she ended up just looking like a deer caught in the headlight. She did not even realize that she was blocking the door to the office until a small whisper asked her if she could please move.

Andie looked down at the girl with beautiful green eyes and went into a trance of her own world. Memorized by the girl she had been looking at for days on end, knowing her classes and where she would be located during a certain period of time. She especially knew where to get a good view of Jade during lunchtime which to Andie it was pure luck that they were able to share the same lunch. However, this was unexpected because Andie did not plan that Jade would be walking towards the office at this hour.

"Please" was heard again as Andie came back to life and quickly moved to the side without having the girl to wait another minute.

Jade slid by Andie keeping as much distance between them as she squeezed through the door that seemed to be really heavy to open.
