Harry has been gone all day. I know he needs to go to class, but sometimes I wish that he would just stay home with me. I sound selfish, but I don't care. I love Harry and I want to be able to spend time with him instead of being alone at his house watching tv all day.
I snap my head towards my phone as it starts to vibrate loudly against the coffee table. I slide my finger across the screen and hold the phone up to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Lydia!" My mother's voice rings in my ear through the phone speaker.
"Hey mom." I sit up on the couch and cross my legs.
"Next week is Candice's birthday and I thought maybe you could come." I cannot even remember the last time I celebrated my sister's birthday with her. She was at college and now I live in Atlanta, so we haven't gotten to see each other that often in the past seven years. I usually just send her a birthday card in the mail.
"Uh yeah of course I think I can make it. Would it be okay if I brought someone with me?"
"Who might this someone be, Lyd? A guy?" She asks in a high pitched tone and I can tell by the sound of her voice she has a smirk on her face right now.
"Yes mom, it's a guy." I tell her and a smile tugs at my lips as Harry appears in my mind.
"Is this the guy you were talking about when you were here?" I forgot I had even mentioned Harry to my mom when I visited California.
"Yeah, Harry. My boyfriend." I say and I hear the gasp escape from my mother's lips.
"My little Lydi has got herself a boyfriend!" Her reaction to me having a boyfriend makes my cheeks flush.
"Mom, stop! You cannot act like this when I bring him. It is okay that I bring him right?"
"Yes Lyd of course. I am so excited I meet this boy!" I can clearly tell she is excited.
"Alright mom. I will be there on Monday. See you then."

As soon as Harry gets home from class I wrap my arms around his torso. "Did you miss me or something?" Harry laughs.
"Yes. You have been gone all day!" I pull away from him.
"I tried to say bye to you this morning before I left, but you just groaned and fell back asleep." He says and smiles at me.
"My mom called me about an hour ago. My sister's birthday is next week and my mom invited us to stay with her and celebrate with Candice." I inform him. "So this time I am actually going to go with you, right?" He reminds me of my last trip to California. He was supposed to go with me, but I guess we had taken a break at the time.
"Yes, and you better not say no. My sister even told me when I was in California that I had to bring you next time I visit."
"You talked about me when you were in California?" He asks me and my cheeks flush.
"No..." I lie and he smirks at me. He grabs my waist and pulls me to him. "Yes you did." He looks into my eyes with his smirk still apparent. "Okay maybe I did." I look up at him. "Awe, my Lyd loves me." He presses his forehead against mine and smiles at me. "How could I not?" I say and give him a quick kiss.
