Marvelous First

Prologue

What the heck happened last night, I don't remember anything. I would ask the stranger sprawled out in my bed, but that would be rude of me to do that. My head is pounding, as if its running a marathon without my consent. Getting out from the covers, my legs ache to, pushing my backside back into those plush pillows, cascaded on my side of the bed. How did I get here? What the hell happened last night? My loose red curls, I've had since birth welcomed a since of security. I must be dreaming, am I?

Softly tiptoeing around me I take in my surroundings: Internally questioning my brain for any since of what went down last night, but nothing comes to mind straight away. The color of dark gray is what I see at first. Pictures of a family scattered everywhere showcasing a man or maybe not him but someone just like him.

The trimming underneath the wall paint is an off shade of white, maybe ivory if that's a shade of white. A few minutes went by, and the mysterious man stirred awake, stretching out before he noticed me. The feeling of electricity almost shook him, if there was electricity that is. He looks at me, eyes wide- hair unkempt you know the usual just got out of bed look. The look of horror already in his eyes. Just like me, five minutes after I woke up, and still I am wondering how I got to this point. " Um hello" He says groggily with bangs in his eyes.

" Any idea what happened last evening?" I ask in a sleepily voice, rubbing my eyes. "Because I have no dang clue, it's a...

A mystery within itself- " I shift my weight due to the hard concrete vinyl white floor in the bathroom, my head resting on the bathroom cabinets waiting for him to reply. He quickly comes up with the answer, that answer I didn't expect. " I, don't know how we got paired together.. Maybe..."

I cut him off before he continued.

" Wait paired, what do you mean paired"

He looked discombobulated for a second, then perked up like a shiver went down as if he remembered the night previous.

" Yes paired, and what I mean paired is we must've been given this room to sleep in. Oh, there's your dress from last night's adventures. " I followed him, letting him know I got his drift, but my expression gave away I didn't. My clothes were neatly folded- even my personal undergarments. My face turned bright red, as I tried to scream at myself silently.

I stood back up, feeling lightheaded as if a really bad hangover decided to show itself breaking through the veil of sleep: Turning around my hands steadily placed on the countertop to try to keep from falling, due to I guess the drinking I inhaled but could not for the life of me remember in-taking. My eyes are bloodshot feeling like they were set ablaze. With my eyes closed, unable to pry them open I feel my way towards the towel cabinet, my hands opening the drawer on the first try- getting something to rinse my eyes, to which I succeeded.

This hangover is like no other.

I've had my share of hangovers but none like this current one it's like a nightmare. "Was there alcohol involved, how many did I intake?"

The sound of his voice snapped me back into reality.

"Alcohol I think so, why and I don't know how much you had in total. Think maybe ten or eleven. Why?"

Ten to eleven? God no wonder I can't stand.

" Why? Are you okay? "

" No, hangover a really bad one I feel like I got hit by a bus. " He laughed, completely obliviously to my point.

" A bus huh. Your funny " I turned my head, god even my neck hurts, when moving it. " Not kidding dummy get over here and hold my hair, whist I throw up my insides. " I snapped, being cocky just like my mama. " No.... Thanks miss cocky" He teased. " What now you won't help a lady, to whom you might've seen undressed the night before! " I snapped back kneeling down meeting the toilet with my face. But I meant it.

" Gross girl cuddles, his hand held to his chest acting appalled to my previous comment. " GET OVER HERE NOW!"

I said as he came through the door, when my voice went up nine notches.

"Geez woman no need to yell at me" He said playfully but I refused to answer. He knelt beside me, held my hair, as I let it all out. I could feel my body heaving trying to get the toxins out. Between me faced down, head in the toilet I wondered who had it worst, me or the guy to whom I don't know being forced against his will to help a girl he's just met.
