Thirty Seven

The next day after the delicious dinner Nate and I had, it was time for the monthly doctor's visit. Since RJ is still incapable to return, Nate has decided to sit this appointment out, keeping an eye on the workplace.

I wish Nate was here I thought as I waited for doctor Creswell. As the moments passed- I found myself drifting off to dreamland. Having a baby grow inside of your womb takes lots of energy.

But I wouldn't change it, for anything. By the time doctor Creswell stumbles in, I could've slept for an hour.

" I'm terribly sorry you had to wait, it's been so hectic here the last couple of weeks. " He muttered, obviously out of breath. Sweat beams glistening under the fluorescent lights. " So I've had the chance to look at your papers, and a congratulations are in order"

" Yes sir, it's a boy. We're thrilled" I said with a wide smile plastered on my face. "That's great to hear, yeah I've heard boys are little monsters but sweet of course. I have two sons of my own, unfortunately they're grown "

I never knew he has two kids how interesting:

" Shall we examine you now?" Doctor Creswell asked, as he grabbed a measure to see how much I've grown.

" Do you know of any names, your thinking off?" He asked, making small conversation as he focuses on the task.

" A few " I admitted " but we really haven't picked a name out though. We're kind of waiting for the right moment."

I measured at twenty inches, the heartbeat is a normal rate 132 bears a minute

My baby is strong and healthy. What else could I ever ask for? The appointment lasted over an hour, because there were a stampede of people's cars in the parking lot.

I send a text to Nate: Appointment went good, had to wait a half hour to be seen. Will see you at work in a few

The lunch hour began, as soon as I pulled up. Nate nearly bolts out the door when I come into view. His touch is hot and sweaty, his heart racing the beat of a drum when I collide with him.

" Oh thank goodness your back, customers have been coming in like a swarm of bees.. It's absolutely bonkers. "

Judging by his sweaty clothes I guess it was more than my Nate could handle.
