Three Days Later

It had been three long days- since coming home from the hospital, oh the peace being home brought to me. The thought of being in the hospital, more than I needed to had been enough to give me nightmares for months. I'd never been a fan of the whole emergency room scenario- matter of fact i tried to avoid the hospital at all costs.

My little two bedroom apartment brought me comfort, knowing each day coming back to such a familiar place had been enough to get me through any long day. Not that being with the one, who birthed me, didn't bring me solace it did. But my mother taught me to be independent throughout my life.

Now that I'm pregnant, I realized I can't go through this alone unlike before I was becoming a mom. She'd be my support system, my human dictionary if I had questions, about what to expect.

"Being pregnant my dear is the most beautiful thing in the world. You will bond with the child for months, feeling It's every move day in, day out. It's a bond that'll stick with you forever and ever" That's why I loved having my mom there at a decent distance if and when I would need her.

Which would be a lot, considering if this pregnancy goes as planned. And there's no roadblocks I'd have to jump over. Before I left Doctor Redford, to whom I referred to now as the doctor from hell; authorized me to locate OBGYN's in the area.

" Go for the nearest OBGYN as possible " she said to me in a loud speaking tone, as if I was across the parking lot, of some department shop. " so that way we won't be travel over Hell's highway just to get there, and back. "

After what had seemed to be hours of researching, printing out papers on the doctors available, dwindling them down to three, was the hard part I'd guessed, but now that was the easy part. The hard part undoubtedly was trying to locate a number I had to call.

" You'd think finding a phone number on a search engine, would be easier these days. But no." I said, sarcastically in my mother's direction.

She eyed ne, took my hand squeezing it, which was her way of telling me she loved me.

" Well honey- what can I tell you. Everything's so tech advanced these days. The next thing you know it will be robots taking calls for doctors, acting like their receptionist."

I chuckled " Yeah wonder what that'll be like in a hundred years."

**

I read off the number from the computer asking my mother to remember it in the case I forgot it.

Three rings then the phone went still

" Good morning this is Doctor Creswell's office specializing in child birth and bringing infants into the world, this is Katrina how may I assist your call?"

I swallowed.

" Yes I need to make an appointment"

A pause

" What's the name?" She asked, the sounds of tapping overtook my senses.

" My name is Isabella Beryline" I said as I shifted my weight from side to side to make sure I wasn't going to get stiff " And your reason for scheduling with us?" Katrina asked. " I close my eyes and took a deep breath.

" Pregnancy test to make sure it's positive." I said nervously

Hey guys-

This chapter is where it all begins for Isabella, as she goes on the journey to having her baby. So, chapters 1 through 6 are what i like to call " Foundation" chapters and that's because i didn't want to go straight into the pregnancy chapters.

I wanted you to get to know the character of Isabella and read from her perspective leading up to these next chapters. Now let us not forget about Nate, and how he sees things through his eyes. Both characters will tell their side, so if you love Nate he will have his own chapters, as i have said.

What do you guys think thus far? Please note these next few chapters are going to start talking about the Pregnancy and things of that nature. On a side note I just love how supportive Isabella's mother is being.
