I drove home two nights after the party: The roads were clear, no cars running red lights, nothing- it was just me and the open spaces. My family lives approximately fifteen minutes away from me – which is a good distance for my human sanity. Because if they lived any closer to me, I would pull the beautiful red locks out of my head, depending the level of crazy the parents I have can be.

I can see it now her voice on blast. Even though I'm twenty two my mother still treats me like an infant meeting her for the first time. She would say:
" ISABELLA ROSE BERYLINE YOU DID WHAT, AND TO THINK I'VE TAUGHT YOU BETTER THAN THAT so my conversation with her won't be easy.

I pulled into the driveway, open the door to get my footing, and my purse closing the door to my car- I heard the front door open. "Oh thank god Isabella, you had us worries sick. Care to explain where you were young lady." My mother said rejoicing at the fact I was home.
" Mom I am twenty two, can't I have a little freedom "
Her face went blank

" Well yes darling we were just worried "

I wonder how they're going to react when they know who I slept with. I said to myself- there goes the daughter of the year award.

How am I going to tell them? They trust me with their heart and soul... I don't know if I'm ready, but before I knew it words were spitting out of my mouth.

" Now mom I have something to tell you- please just listen and you cannot get irate with me, because you always taught me to tell the absolute truth...."

My mom was discombobulated. Her face puzzled

" Isabella sweetie what's going on, you can tell me anything, as long as you didn't get hurt I'm fine.

I looked her in the eyes.

How was I going to tell her?

" I... might... be....

Having a... baby!"

Never did I expect having to tell my mother this.

"A baby with whom?"

I shifted my weight. My heart feels as if its sinking in the pit of my stomach. " There's this guy I came to know, named Nate Humphreys." Her face looked even more puzzled. " Isabella Rose Beryline, I know I raised you better than that. You know you shouldn't be fooling' around ...

" We have to get you a test!" My mother said, not trying to panic, after just finding out her only daughter may be expecting. I looked her in the eyes, " I'm so afraid mom, I don't know if I can handle it.

" Darling no matter what I will support you through and throughout. I know you weren't planning on this, but you have my full heart.

I walk into a local Convenient store called Poppy's which is a knockoff version of Wal-Mart

" Yes I need a pregnancy test. One or two "

My mother signals to me she got them
