I jerk out of sleep and grab my phone, dialing Leo's number. "Hello?" He says groggily. "Leo! I just had a theory about Skylar!!!" "What?" He says. "Who is this?" I sigh. "It's Amanda, sorry to call you so late." "It's fine." He replies. "So what is your theory?" "Okay, so you know that picture book our moms have of us?" "Yeah, the one with all of our school pictures and stuff." "Well you know that picture she has of us in the hospital when we were born?" He hesitates for a second. "Yeah, and didn't it have all of the babies names?" "Yes, so I think that Angela hasn't told us there's another one of us. Maybe Skylar moved right after she was born and Angela forgot... I really don't know, and we will have to talk to Angela and Grace to figure this out." Silence. "Yeah," he replies. "We need to meet up tomorrow. Can you come over to my house?" I think for a second. "I think so. My parents will be here, so that's a no to my house. What time do you want me to come over?" "Hmm, maybe about 9? I'll send out a group text to everyone so maybe we can all go talk to Angela around 11." I check my alarm clock. I didn't realize it was 6am. "Ok, sounds good. And sorry for calling so early." "I can hear him grinning through the phone. "It's ok, I wouldn't of answered to anyone else anyway." This make me blush. "Ok, I'll see you in three hours."
I lay in bed for a little while, thinking. I just realized that mine and Leo's 14th birthday is only 2 days away. I wonder what Leo is planning. Which reminds me to talk to our moms about our birthday. I decide to text Leo about it.
Amanda: Hey did u happen to talk to our moms about the party yet?
Leo: yea I got it taken care of
Amanda: ok so what are we going to do for a party?
Leo: it's a surprise ;)
Amanda: srsly?? Pls tell me!!
Leo: I'm sorry I can't all I'm saying is it's going to be really special
Amanda: fine.
Leo: fine.
All while I'm getting ready, I think about this party. Apparently our moms know, and they definitely won't tell. I guess I'll just have to wait.
