"I know there's nothing to be nervous about, Benny, but I can't help it. I do want to meet new people, but damn, this is going to be something new on itself." I groaned and she chuckled.
"It's okay, Tris. They're just humans, like you. It's not like they're going to turn into hideous creatures and eat you." she giggled.
I chuckled. "You're right."
"I'm always right," she said making me chuckle again. "Anyway, how is the new house? And the new town?" she asked and I felt myself getting excited again.
I lay down on the bed and stared at the ceiling as I smiled. "You're never going to believe this, but everything is just awesome here! The house is huge and my room is just, damn..." I said, not being able to describe everything, since I was overexcited. "Dad said we're going to settle down in Hemmington for good! I can't wait to explore every inch of this place! I heard there is an underground castle here. Legend goes that there used to be a King. He was the King of Hemmington. God, Benny, I want to see that castle!" I squealed like a kid.
"Most girls fangirl over bands, you fangirl over ancient places. Anyway, have to go. It's four in the morning here and I can hear my parents downstairs. If they hear I'm awake, you might have to attend my funeral next Saturday!" she joked, making me laugh.
"It's also past midnight here. You go to sleep; we'll talk tomorrow." I said and with that, we hung up.
I threw my phone next to me and stared at the ceiling, releasing a sigh. I was extremely nervous about tomorrow. It was going to be my first day at school in this new town and I was scared of the types of people I was going to meet. I slowly closed my eyes, feeling the cold air the air conditioner was blowing out.
With one last thought of school, I closed my eyes and drifted into a deep sleep.
"I know. I know." I playfully rolled my eyes at him as he walked off.
I turned around and sighed. I took my map and stared at it before walking the way it directed me. It took me a while to realize that I was lost. I looked around, but the hallway was empty. I looked at the map and slowly walked, trying to find my way back. I didn't even realize I wasn't paying attention before bumping into someone. I heard an 'oomph' sound and I gasped, continuously muttering an apology.
"It's okay." she breathed out. It seemed as if she was running a marathon. "Are you lost?" she panted.
I nodded slowly. "Yeah..." I said, feeling slightly embarrassed.
"It's okay. Where do you have to be now?" she asked with a friendly smile.
She was still breathing heavily. I thought for a second. "I have English now. I think the name is Wilbert." I frowned.
