Aria sighed as she walked out of Blake's hospital room. She sat down and shot me a small smile. “I hope he'll be up soon.”

“Yeah, he's missing a lot,” I said a bit bitterly, making her frown.

“You've been grumpy all day. What is wrong with you?” Aria frowned at me.

I sighed and looked down at my hands, “I'm sorry, Aria. It's just that my Dad and Archer's Dad know each other and I'm going to his house today to have dinner with that jerk face.”

Aria laughed, confusing me. I raised my eyebrow at her, “Tris, you're both jerks.”

I pursed my lips, ready to argue. “You're right,” I released a low chuckle. “Archer and I are both jerks.”

“My ship has sailed to the moon!” Aria smirked at me, making me glare at her.

“That's never going to happen, Aria.”

Aria nodded her head. “One day, you two will be with each other and that day will be the worst day of your life, because you'll have to face me,” she said poking my forehead.

I rolled my eyes, “Don't get your hopes up. I hate him, he hates me, end of story.” I got up and started walking away.

“Can't deny the fact that he cares about you though!” Aria said and I froze.

I turned around and frowned at her. “Archer doesn't care.”

“He does. I was awake that night, Tris. I saw you guys,” Aria got up too and started walking towards me.

I shot her a skeptical look. “Aria, all of that was just in the moment,” I said, trying to hide my embarrassment. Aria gave me a knowing look, but I turned around. “Besides, it's too early for any of this. I have to go.”

I didn't wait for her answer, I just dashed out of the hospital, where Dad was waiting for me. I hopped in the car and breathed out.

I silently greeted my parents and they greeted back. They didn't question anything, they just continued with their own conversation. One of the many things I loved about my parents was the fact that they always gave me my space before asking what's wrong. I'm their kid after all. I can't hide anything from them.

I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I hadn't even realized that we had gotten home. I got out of the car and silently walked to my room, locking it afterwards. I turned on my phone and sighed when I saw that we had only two hours left before visiting Archer's family.

Well, at least I could have an hour long bath.

I faked a smile as Archer's father hugged me, making me hug back awkwardly. We pulled away from each other and I politely greeted his mother, ignoring him at all costs.
